Either you can keep finding fault or you can knit me some seat belts!
It's clear that Foley is becoming the hot spot of the market, and with all of the tourism it attracts for beachgoers headed to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Mobile has another hurdle to clear to get things that are new and exciting.
Hopefully the bridge fixes some of the access issues across the bay, but adding a toll is another impediment to getting people over here from points east when the fancy new bridge finally opens and our traffic headaches magically go away....
I'm just afraid that one day, they'll just expand the beach express into a spur interstate from 65 and be done with it...
It looks like WKBN is now doing news on WYTV, completing the slow bleed-out of WYTV over the last 15-20 years. Good ol' Nexstar....
Stay safe from the godless tornadoes!
(Seriously...the entire area is under a tornado warning as I am typing this post.) Take cover now!

Special thanks to the OP at r/misLED for the dental office sign!
They've been stunting for the past few days. First it was "Pink Pony Club", then "Hot Stuff" / "Hot in Here", and now, it's endless Mardi Gras music...
Any ideas what the Sound of Mobile has up their sleeve?
It was a Village Inn. This is from 2018.
As if coffee and eyes weren't enough of an interesting business concept....
Also a former Mugshots.... And we all know where Chili's ended up after they moved from here....
Next door to the former Smokey Bones / Twin Peaks that now lives on as a Wells Fargo is this former Logan's Roadhouse...
This is on the outer edge of Cordova Mall.
This originated as a Smokey Bones that closed when Darden pulled out of the concept, then became a Famous Dave's, and was a Twin Peaks before being sentenced into being a Wells Fargo Bank branch.
Why it's Fred Flintstone and his lovely wife Wilma!
Oh and this must be baby Pebbles!
Mind if I come in? I brought chocolates!
I did a little deep dive on the Akron beacon journal archives and came up with some dates....
Howard Johnson's closed in 1971.
Lawson's Restaurant (yes, THAT Lawson's) opened later that year.
It became an L&K in 72-73 when their owner, Consolidated Foods changed the name (They also owned Lawson's at the time).
Several years later, L&K closed and Casey's Family Restaurant took its place.
Casey's must have closed in 1981 because in the following year, Arby's took its place, and remains there to this day.
Until recent years, the decor was very late 70s, early 80s, so I wonder if that was a holdover from Casey's, or even L&K. As seen in one of the auction pictures, any interior traces of Howard Johnson's were sold off after they closed.
