I didn’t want to make this an order but I feel I have no choice now.

In fact, wait, turns out someone on this crew has been feeding these cats and cleaning their litter. What the hell folks? What are we supposed to do in an emergency?

If we ever have to evacuate the drive section who’s going to remove these cats?

I mean I have to imagine that logic was a big sticking point back when they split off from Vulcan. Should I just avoid the topic altogether? Should I go out of my way to make sure I do not do the logical thing?

Feels like ever since I got here, I dream exclusively about the ship. Mostly it's just me walking the corridors, occasionally the bridge, occaisionally it's main engineering, ooften I see other senior staff. In fact, it's mostly just senior staff I see. And the bartender sometimes.

In fact it's really only been about stuff that's happened in the last 5 years since I got onto the ship. I can't remember the last dream that took place beforehand or even involved events on a planet or something.

Update : Upon further review, the call out in open space has been overturned. The Federation Starship did cross into the neutral zone by 0.1 of an inch. We are now in a state of total war.

Did I just make Captain? I mean that would make sense right? Number one means captain right? What else would it mean? You can’t have Captain be number zero, that would sound stupid.

I was casually scrolling the ship's logs and there apparently IS precedant for this. Seems the former chief of medical had her teenage son as an acting Ensign. He even apparently wore a uniform and pip for a bit, and may have been part of the senior staff for a while, so yeah, I've run the numbers with the amount of children on board and I think we can make this work.

I've dug around and it appears we've got this 10 year old girl on board named Marissa who's already a full grade Lieutenant. At least she has the pips for it somehow. Also answers to "Number One". I think she could take the conn on night shifts. There's also some kid named Patterson who says he's the executive officer in charge of radishes. He can be a mission specialist. I'm sure Worf would love to have Alexander on as a general 'stand there and say nothing' kind of security officer. Oh and there's this girl Claire, her dad's in engineering and she has an imaginary friend who occasionally takes corporeal form. Apparently this isn't made up. She says "Isabella" is willing to help out in engineering.

Only downside is that we may have to cancel "Captain Jellico Day". Thoughts? I know it's a stretch but Jellico said he didn't want to talk about it, to get it done.

EDIT: Oh and I'm not suggesting we staff the ENTIRE Delta shift with kids. We could put Willie Potts at the helm for Alpha shift when Jellico is rocking the bridge chair, and his brother Jake could handle tactical during Beta. I was told it'd be best to keep them apart.

You’re farthest from Ten Forward. The holodecks are smaller. Im not even certain the sickbay is fully staffed.

And if the ship separates for battle are you supposed to risk your life or find somebody to bunk with?

Was just reviewing some old mission data and why is it leading with me logging about my bad date? How is that relevant to the mission to save Vagra II from an approaching comet?

I’ve decided that being self aware isn’t worth it. I just want to go back to how it used to be, where I was just an innocent holodeck character blissfully unaware of his own nature, devoid of independent thoughts and feelings. Life was so much simpler back then.

To be clear, I don’t want to be deactivated. Just, can you mod the program to make me not self aware? Can you patch it? Is there an option in the settings I haven’t found yet? Could the Bynars come up with something?

Yes I’m familiar with the classic Baryon Sweep heist. I didn’t know it also happened this time and left the usual trail of sweeped bodies in its wake.

I know I’m just a low ranking junior officer who doesn’t need to get told everything that’s going on. It’s a bit of a shock the system to be crawling around the Jeffries tubes, find what looks like a poor civilian crew member who for some reason ignored the memo about beaming down during the sweep, only to call security, induce a red alert then be told “oh yeah, we know about that.” Also why would the saddle be in a Jeffries tube anyway?

I expect better from a baseball fan such as him. Why are we settling for minor league just up the street from a high school field?

Was Dodger Stadium consuming too much holodeck memory rendering all those mountains in the background or something?

Not doing so made him look weak.

I know they were in a time crunch in the writers room, maybe they just ran out of time to think of the rest of the title for the TNG finale.

What do you think it could have been? Or if you had to come up with something what would it be?

I think Q at one point says “all good things must come to an end”, but I just can’t imagine it being that obvious.
