Scratched my Expedition, but she’s tough

Took her to a two day firearms class in 90 degree heat, rain, and with some gnarly gravel. She came through with just a minor scratch near the date and keeps on going.

Help me decide

Haven’t had a G-shock in years and want to get one again. Currently looking at the following models:
1: GAB2100BEG-1A ($165)
2: GWM5610-1 ($175 from Amazon)
3: AWGM100FP1A2 ($108 from JC Penny)
4: GSG-100-1A8 ($160 from Costco)

Any advice, preferences, etc. as to which one is best or better value? Open to other models as well. Thanks in advance.

Recomping is slow and steady work

Just sharing a little success story so far. I've been using MF and MF Workouts for 6 months now. Started at 215.5 lbs. Down to 186 now and gained a noticeable amount of muscle. The app has me eating about 2070 calories per day to lose 0.5% bodyweight per week.

I workout 3 days per week, 5 exercises per day for 3 sets to failure or close to failure. Despite the deficit, I've been making progress increasing either weight or reps in the gym each week with most exercises (yay for newbie gains). I started some exercises like incline dumbbell bench press with 25lb dumbbells and now I'm up to 60lbs. RDLs started around 50lbs, and I just started trying 170lbs. I had to move calves from dumbbells to the cable leg press machine and just maxed that out at 413lbs for calf raises. Similar progress with other exercises.

Most of the time so far I've lost 1lb per week on the scale. I had one weird month where I was suddenly losing 1.5 lbs per week. Now I've been bouncing around 185-187 for the past couple weeks but still making progress in the gym, so I assume recomping is still going on. Trend weight is still going down, just more slowly. I've taken only about 5 cheat days up to maintenance so far in 6 months. Here's to a few more months of this to reach my goal around 170.

In short, recomping can work, especially for beginners (been 12 years since I exercised religiously and was very fit). Slow but steady.

Point of Impact Deviation with Different Ammo

Just checking to see if this is normal. I have my match G34.5 zeroed at 10 yards for Blazer 124. Picked up some Monarch 115 from Academy (same as Magtech). At 12 yards, the Blazer 124 and Blazer 115 I had were dead on in a paster. The Monarch was 1.5 inches to the right. A friend's reloads (124 grain FMJ with ~5.1 grains of CFE Pistol powder) were almost 3 inches to the right. I wasn't expecting such a shift from different ammo at that short a distance. Anyone else have a similar experience?
