Gem of a human being! Signed stuff for all the fans waiting for him

Saw Becky Shaw yesterday. Absolutely phenomenal play, and Patrick was fantastic. As soon as the show ended he came outside to greet everyone who was waiting for him. Signed everything, talked to people, and was just a genuine, humble human being to everyone who was there. My gf got a birthday autograph! Go watch this play if you can, I fully recommend it.

VFS Global Center in NY never sent me an email or a text to let me know that my visa had been stamped on my passport and that it was ready for pickup

Got the passport request on May 4 and delivered it in person the following day at the VFS Center in NY (I live here). They asked me if I wanted it mailed to me via courier or if I wanted to pick it up in person. I chose the latter and gave them my phone number and email, since they told me they would let me know when the passport was ready for pickup.

One day later, on May 6, I got a notice from IRCC that my application status has changes, which was basically just an update that said that they had approved my application.

After that I kept waiting and nothing happened. Today I decided to look up the tracking number they gave me and when I did, the system said that my passport had been ready to be picked up since May 6 (when I got the application status change notice).

I went in today and just asked them to give me my passport and they did, with the visa stamped on it. Told them I had received no notice and they basically just said sorry and that "that was very weird."

Just letting people know! If you dropped off your passport in person and its taking forever it is highly likely that they just forgot to send you the email telling you its ready! Look up the tracking number!

Hi all! I'm a 36M from Peru who has always been obsessed with Canada. The process to get a visa in Peru seemed daunting to me though and I never went through it.

I've been living in New York since January 2021, and finally got all of my stuff together: a good job, a wife, a drivers license, and most importantly a stable immigration status.

After getting my drivers license I figured it was finally time to go to Canada and fulfill my lifelong dream. So I started the process of getting a visitor's visa and it just got approved!

I am incredibly excited. As of now our only plan is to drive from NYC to the Finger Lakes region and spend a night in one of the little towns there. Our next stop would be the Niagara Falls, where we'd cross the border. After that I was planning to spend a couple of days in Toronto before driving east to Montreal. Finally, I'd drive back to New York via Maine.

Does this sound like a good plan? Are there any destinations between Toronto and Montreal that are must visits?

Thank you all.
