I know it is illegal, I just don't know what to do about it. She's in the process of being evicted, I have been advised to not have any further interactions with her. (She's been violent with me, my landlord, the cops...) Even if I did talk to her about it, there's no way she'd be rational about it. I have photo and video evidence of it and where it's placed and the fact it points to my bedroom door. Can I call the cops? Will they even come out for something like that?

I lost a Fair Fares OMNY card and requested a replacement. I had a balance of $28 on my lost one that I put on in cash. How do I transfer it to my new replacement card? When I go to the drop down menu, the option to transfer the balance isn't there. It just says CLOSED. It seems like I have $28 just floating in the OMNY void. SOS.
I need to be pointed in the direction of some sort of housing legal council. My roommate is a crackhead. She has crackheads and junkies in and out of the house. One is even staying here with her cats and her hamsters. They destroy the house and leave drug paraphernalia around. My landlord says he's working on the eviction process and knows all about the troubles she causes. I've had to call the cops two times just this week because of her or her house guests and he comes to the house to meet the cops with me, but they obviously can't just rip her out of the apartment. I'm not asking for legal advice here, just to be pointed in the direction of someone who can help to see if there's anything I can do. I found out if she gets in legal trouble for drugs, I can possibly get charged as well so I'm panicking. I have a job where I absolutely CAN NOT be caught up in any kind of legal trouble. I've been looking to move as of recently, but with the housing markets the way they are, I don't know if I'd find a new place before she'd be evicted. I don't know the process for it. My landlord and I are both at our wits end and I don't know where else to go.
I left my car at my parents house for a while while I traveled and didn't need it. I'm about to come home and it needs everything done. Car insurance, new registration and an inspection. The inspection expired in May, so it's not too old. I just don't know where to start.
I have someone who is looking for an inpatient drug rehab situation, but one that's pet friendly. They have 20 lb (give or take) dog that they absolutely will not leave behind. Must be in Oregon. I know of some DV foundations that can help, but none that help in substance abuse.
I have always liked Supercuts because they're cheap, fast, and don't try to up sell me a bunch of stuff. I went to my local hair salon in my neighborhood and spent almost $200 on a simple cut and shampoo the last time. I didn't even ask for the shampoo. 🫠 The nearest Supercuts is in NJ. I'm just looking for a cheap, simple hair cut. No shampoo, no color or anything. Preferably in Marine Park/Sheepshead Bay area, but I'm willing to travel anywhere in Brooklyn.

I rode the Q from Atlantic and Barclays towards coney island this morning shortly after 7 am and noticed it smelled like hot brakes or burning rubber. I then got on the Manhattan bound Q from Kings Hwy just now at 1:30 or so and it smells the same. Has anyone else noticed this today? Should I be concerned or report it to anyone?
I'm 37 and have recently developed photosensitivity within the last year. All of the times I've been to the beach or really been exposed to any sunlight, I break out in an itchy, bumpy rash. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this as they got older? My doctor wants me to be tested for lupus, and I'm terrified. 😬
I've been here almost a year. My landlord just told us he's selling the building. Has anyone had experience in this? Any idea on what kind of time frame I'm looking at? I wasn't prepared to move again so I have very little saved up and I'm panicking.
