She Said She Said is musically prophetic

i've listened to it hundreds of times and i still can't believe it came from the 1960s. ringos drumming is insane (probably his best performance ever), jangly guitars are perfect, and the meter shifting makes it sound so sophisticated. it's the musical equivalent of 2001: A Space Odyssey. you could've thought it actually came out in 2001, but it actually came out during the 60s.

tried to like the headrush but i'm going to send it back

the first headrush flex prime i got had a fried wifi chip, and on my second headrush flex prime i'm getting this whining noise that it didn't have the day before on the same guitar and preset. i've had better qc experience with brands like joyo or mooer.

will tracking improve for drop tuning and synths?

hey everyone, aside from some issues with the internet, I enjoy the headrest flex prime so far. One issue I have though is the drop tuning. It doesn't sound as good as say a Boss XS-1 or Digitech Drop. Another issue I noticed is the latency with the synths. I like the sound of the electric piano and wavetable synth, they sound great, but it is barely usable for anything other than pads because of the time the tracking takes. I was wondering if future firmware updates could improve this, because as of right now if the Flex Prime had quicker tracking it would eliminate my need for a synth/drop pedal

headrush flex prime wifi issues

hey everyone, i just got a brand new headrush flex prime and was fiddling with the dropbox to get my nam and ir’s loaded onto the unit. all of a sudden, i got dropped from my wifi network and now no networks show up. i tried resetting the wifi settings, doing a full power cycle, firmware update, and factory reset twice, but nothing works. is this a common issue? i was really excited to play but now i’m going to stress about getting a replacement or a repair

will NAM ever have the technology to have clean/eob/dirty/hi-gain in one model?

The only thing stopping me from selling my amp and getting something that can run NAM is the fact that you can't switch channels mid song. i previously had a tonex pedal but sold it because I wanted an amp that responded differently to the input level without having to constantly switch profiles. I can't wait until NAM profiles have the same range of gain on the same profile as contemporary modelers like the Strymon Iridium.

the finals is the best as a casual game

the gamemodes my friends and i enjoy the most are point break and powershift. in my opinion it’s the most fun when you’re just fucking around without too much stress like cashout. anyone else feel this way? i think the finals is a great casual game and wished they continued to work and balance game modes like power shift and point break.

Which artists were influenced by the Beatles?

I'd like to have a discussion on a wide range of artists who were directly influenced by the Beatles. Off the top of my head, I think of:

Ian Mackaye & Guy Piccioto of Fugazi:

"The Beatles are also way up there. Their records became holy objects to me. The covers took on almost mystical properties" - Ian Mackaye (i relate to this lol)

"I made a pact with myself to buy no other records by any other band till I owned every Beatles record. It took me until I was 12 to do it." - Guy Piccioto (also uses the same Rickenbacker as George Harrison in some live performances)

Kurt Cobain & Dave Grohl of Nirvana

  • Kurt Cobain - the In Bloom music video & About a Girl song, which was famously written after listening to With the Beatles for an afternoon.
  • Dave Grohl - Wrote tribute songs about the Beatles like "Oh George", cited that Hey Jude was his first Rock and Roll experience.

Elliott Smith

  • Does this need an explanation? Elliott was like if all the Beatles had a child and made beautiful music.

Ozzy Osbourne

  • "She Loves You" inspired him to make music, and "Because" was one of his favorite songs.

Alex Chilton & Chris Bell of Big Star

"When Chilton formed Big Star in Memphis with Chris Bell, the two shared a reverence for the songwriting of Lennon and McCartney. Their intent was to act as the next Lennon-McCartney, resulting in lush harmonies, chiming Rickenbacker jangles, and sharp melodic hooks."

There are so many artists from a wide range of genres; I have just listed a couple. Interested in hearing about your favorite artists direct connection to the Beatles.

strawberry fields forever is one of the greatest songs of all time

look, i know this opinion has been shared on here many times before, i just wanted to share my experience with this song. there are few songs that will prompt me to post about how great they are, and strawberry fields forever is one of them. i just spent the past hour replaying the music video over and over again and taking it all in. it’s one of those songs that feels as fresh as it did the first time you heard them. with most music, i need to rotate songs so i don’t get tired of them too quickly. but i could seriously listen to strawberry fields forever FOREVER. john’s haunting double tracked voice, the mellotron, george martin’s production and arranging genius, and ringo’s timeless psychedelic drumming are highlights. i am a lover of music and listen to a wide range of genres but holy shit every time i listen to strawberry fields forever i get shivers or tear up because of how good it is. “living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see. it’s getting hard to be someone but it all works out. it doesn’t matter much to me” -John Lennon

Bold As Love makes me feel like I'm tripping

When the flanged staggered drum fills come in towards the end, I feel so much energy building up. It's all released during the ending guitar solo, which makes me feel like I just broke through on an acid trip. It sounds like humanity at its peak, and the greatness that everyone should strive to achieve. Jimi's life was his guitar and music, and I think that whatever your will to power is, you should go at it and achieve it. I need to listen to more Jimi Hendrix because this song blew me away. I've heard all of his greats but when I listened to Bold as Love I got this feeling I had only previously gotten from tripping. Just wanted to share my thoughts
