Switching to Tesla Insurance help

I’m currently with GEICO and paying $240/month for insurance on my 2020 Model Y that I purchased last month.

Previously I was paying $120/month for my Civic, and when I called for a quote to remove the civic and added the Y using the vin from the dealership I misunderstood my new premium because of the way the agent worded it, saying I was going to be paying 800-something for 6 months and so, nearly the same price per month. What she didn’t make clear was it was $800 more than my previous rate, which I didn’t realize until I already signed the paperwork on the car during Purchase and was adding it to my policy with my other car.

I started shopping around for lower rates and 240/ month was the cheapest I found still except with Tesla Insurance which is $144.

I want to make the switch but I’ve read some things about driving behaviors/road trips that affect their rate. I understand my rate will fluctuate based on safety/miles driven etc, but should I wait a month until my two small road trips are over before I make the switch, or does it not matter. I’m not sure if it looks at past driving data to determine rate or only will use my driving data once my policy is in affect to determine it.

Any help or suggestions or info would be super helpful.

Summon not working?

Recently purchased a 2020 Model Y and having issues getting the Actually Smart Summon to work. It shows that it’s toggled to “on” in the “Self Driving” options, but only Dumb Summon shows as an option on my phone.

I parked my car in a nearly empty parking lot and summoned it using the up down arrows, this was before I knew there was a difference in dumb and “ass” options. I walked 175 feet away, was pressing forward button, and noticed it didn’t look like it was turning. It pulled up next to/behind a car, and some tweaker got out and amazed there was a car driving itself, and I stopped it and reversed it back into its original spot. Jumped on Reddit and google and based off what I read I had the settings correct for ASS to work but I’m still only getting the option for dumb summon.

Any idea why it may be doing this or what I can try to fix?

I don’t actually plan on using the feature but I really wanted to do the video trend where people smart summon with their dog in the drivers seat and it looks like it’s driving lmao

Edited to add: I am subscribed to FSD

Anyone here actually like their job?

Is there anyone here who actually likes their job? I know this is used as an outlet to vent and call out things that are not fair/right usually…but there has to be people who actually enjoy their job.

Although my position as an ELR in a high volume store with a hotel can be stressful sometimes, I genuinely enjoy my job, have a great leadership team, and for the most part the team of associates we have are great and do love and care about pets.

I’m shocked to see some of the things the associates here experience in their stores…definitely makes me appreciate my store and team more. Don’t get me wrong I completely understand the company itself doesn’t care about us, but at a store level we do.

I’ve learned not to resist the constant change in ridiculous initiates we have to push and just roll with it. Am I happy about it at first? No…but as history has shown me it’s just easier to be on board and ride it out until they shift their focus to the next.

Not sure where I’m going with this but just curious to see what some of the positives are for any associates on here.
