Anyone else noticed the rise in attack-style advertising?

Perhaps I’m just paying more attention, but it feels like more and more ads have switched from “this is why we’re great” to “this is why everyone else is terrible and we’re what you need”.

Is it something influencers have brought in? I know to be heard in social media you have to push something new and often they disavow other approaches.

Personally really not a fan, it casts so much negativity on everything, and will make a lot of people stressed.

Solicitors need to complete a section 5 before we exchange - are we done for?

Currently purchasing a share of freehold flat (one other freeholder), but an issue has come up where the loft conversion wasn’t reflected in the freehold agreement when it was done 10 years ago. That process is now ongoing, but we’re worried about timelines.

The key points:
- Seller’s solicitor about to agree on deed of variation, hopefully finalizing this week
- Their solicitor says they need 2 months notice on the section 5 for the other freeholder to accept the changes
- Our mortgage offer expires on 4 August, so it’s going to be VERY tight if we have to wait the full 2 months.

Anyone gone through this before? Is the 2 months a set time period or if the other freeholder agrees earlier can we move forward?

Completely undecided - beard or no?

Been growing for just under 3 weeks, and I think i like it? But the scratchiness and itching is unbearable so gotta be totally sure it’s the right choice to commit to!

Edit: Well thanks everyone for the generally sarcastic and patronising comments. I’ll keep my underdeveloped thoughts to myself next time.

Been going on a few weekend trips recently and the one thing I’ve been hunting for is a nice a cafe where I can settle in with a good book and watch the world pass.

However every cafe seems to be hard seats and designed to move people through - makes sense as someone sitting for ages without continuously paying is lost money.

Got me thinking - would you go to a “pay by the hour” place, where you can hold comfy spots through buying food/drink or just paying a rental fee? What would be the benefits or drawbacks?

Got injured at the start of the year, did my first 5k run back today and HOLY HELL my legs were burning and so sore! Mainly in the calves

How long does it take for the muscles to adapt and be comfortable again?

Did 2 years of Minox and stopped about 18 months ago. Happy with the results to an extent, but don’t feel it’s dense enough to grow a good looking beard yet.

Anyone had success with going back to it? Did you see much improvement?
