Found this handmade pillow, while getting ready for some quiet writing time.

The pattern is from an old Just Cross Stitch magazine from (I think) 2019. I know the designer was Gail Bussi. I actually hand painted the fabric as this was before I discovered hand dyed fabric.

This is now hanging on the inside of my front door.

Let's try this again...

First off, thanks for being sweet a few days ago. I'm sorry I looked so exhausted. My work schedule just changed and its been a rough adjustment...

So, these tend to be the shades I actually use on a daily basis (honestly, most of the time I'm wearing nothing on my lips.) I did go a bit heavier on the blush than usual. I do think the shades might be a bit too warm though?

Products:

Ilia Skin Tint in Balos

Morphe Wake Up Artist in Peach

Haus Labs Blush in French Rosette

Loreal Telescopic Mascara Carbon Black (I was THRILLED to find this)

Revlon Lipstick in Coral Berry

EDITED TO ADD: Yes I know my brows need to be shaped! This will probably be my last update for awhile, while I focus on myself for awhile.

Thanks for sticking with me while I was unraveling for the last few days!

Decided to treat myself to some new products today!

Honestly, I wasn't too surprised by the feedback I received yesterday. I do plan on getting my brows shaped. I'm also not one for a super heavy look, so my makeup does tend to be pretty light.

I did pick up a new corrector, but I'm not sure it made a difference (my eyes are deep set, so there are a lot of shadows in my under eye area. My doctor also confirmed it is not jaundice.)

One other thing- my hair is very fine, so there is not much I can do other than get it out of the way (I honestly hate it, along with most of my other features. I have no problem admitting that.)

Any way I can improve?

So piggybacking off my post from yesterday, I did my makeup with some of the cooler tones that I have. I just want to know if I'm on the right track. Trying to reinvent myself after some employment changes.

Also included a photo with my glasses (which I have to wear as I am blind as a bat)

Products:

Ilia skin tint

Glossier Plush Blush in Bloom

Mac Painterly Paint Pot (as base)

ABH Haze Palette (one of my favorites)

Loreal Panorama Mascara

My Nymphette Lipgloss (another favorite)

Am I warm or cool toned?

I just got a new job and I am trying to revamp my makeup (not wearing anything today as it is very hot and the store I work at is very humid.) I can't figure out if I am warm or cool toned or somewhere in between. I tend to go for coral or rosy shades, but I'm not sure if they are flattering.

This is my natural hair color and I have no problem showing my real skin (especially after suffering from acne in my teens.) The discoloration around my eyes is due to lack of sleep, confirmed by my doctor.

True/Deep Autumn eyeshadow colors for fair skin?

So I'm a suspected True or Deep Autumn. I've been wanting to revamp my makeup routine. However, I'm quite fair and typical autumn colors like warm brown and rust tend to overwhelm me (I'm olive and dont really have that "golden glow, so to speak.)

Gold and mustard are especially unflattering bring out the yellow in my eyes. Nothing looks more evil than yellow eyes...

Are there any other colors I can wear? I tend to be drawn to taupe and rosy shades.

Type me (soft summer to deep winter)

NMIP

So I think I'm narrowing down on my season (mostly for my own curiosity, I'm a color theory nerd.) I decided to drape from soft summer to deep winter.

My dark circles are naturally yellow (it's genetic, confirmed by my doctor)

Best lengthening mascara?

So I'm on the hunt for a good drugstore lengthening mascara. I don't really need volume. My number one pet peeve is flaking. Being difficult to remove is a close second.

Type me, round 2

NMIP

Alright, lets give this another go! These are just clothes that I happen to have on hand. Excuse the mess in the background; doing some decluttering.

If I look exhausted, it's because I just woke up (I work super late). Also, it's back to storming again, so excuse the lighting.

Type me (existential crisis!)

NMIP

So I'm now going through a bit of an existential crisis! I thought I was a Summer, but now I'm starting to wonder if I'm a Spring or an Autumn! So I have some warm toned drapes to see if we can rule that out.

For what it's worth, I've always been told that I carry peach and coral blushes well and I've always been drawn to warm colors.

I'm back, type me!

NMIP

Again, excuse the lighting. It's sunny now, but my apartment is pretty dark.

I have some more spring and autumn typedrapes. This is more to satisfy my curiosity than anything else. I tend to match my clothes to the seasons. I'm a color theory nerd, so this is all fascinating to me.

Which Summer am I?

NMIP

You'll have to excuse the lighting. It's been very gloomy here lately

So, I'm 90% sure that I'm a Summer. I would just like to know which one so I can have it straight in my head. I suppose in the end it doesn't matter, but I'm a color theory nerd, so I think this is fun.

The discoloration around my eyes is due to lack of sleep (confirmed by my doctor)

What would you name these island?

I've picked the game back up again to celebrate getting a new job. I'm working on two ideas for islands. I'm not the best at names and I want to get off on the right foot

The first idea is lavender elegantcore

The second is primary colored fairycore

[WIP] One of my old wips. Still trying to figure out what to do with it when it is done

Not strictly cross stitch; there is some hardanger and hemstitching involved too. This pattern is Loving Friends by the Victoria Sampler; one of my favorite designers. This was done at a time when I was learning some more advanced techniques. This was originally meant to go on a music box, but I think I want to do something different. I'm just not sure what.
