What a better way to celebrate "World Motorcycle Day - June 21" than to Ride!! That's precisely what I did with 5 of my biker friends from my biking group (Riders of Kalinga), we took our steeds & set out to Keonjhar.

I resolutely advocated taking the Kanjipani-Telkoi route back although you will encounter some adversarial stretches, but for city-dwellers like us, trust me, you will submerge yourself in the verdant sal forests or the somnolent ghats with occasional picturesque villages popping up.

Thanks to the extreme temperatures , never ending ratrace of the corporate, I had unwantonly turned a blind-eye to my balcony plants.

Over the last two days did some reporting, transferring cuttings to smaller pots or in case of the zz plant, the overgrown plant (middle pot was the OG) easily made way into two other pots.

Loved Kaya so much that got myself few jars of it, & I don't regret the decision😍

With the weather not bothering, few of us met over Cha at this quiet little place in Kalinganagar. Just like the way boys plan, we then took the Kalinganagar - Gothapatna - Kateni Chakk - Chandaka route to Jungle View.

What set this particular ride apart was the drops of rains coupled with never ending gusts of dust , pitch dark stretch of roads with unannounced speed breakers did give us a little bit of challenge, but nothing matches the fun of riding together with your biking tribe.

The must-have bamboo mutton, bamboo chicken & desi chicken masala just made our ride feel complete.

Short dash , Longer fun indeed!!
