Alexa App is garbage, Echos proving less useful day by day

Heavily invested in the Alexa ecosystem but have to confess, we are at wits end. When the AI Alexa works, it's great. Unfortunately it's hit or miss, mostly miss lately. Our Flash Briefing and news has turned into AI read crap. It won't perform simple skill commands. Have to repeat/reword everything.

Then today I've spent 20 minutes trying to find and modify content preferences and keep getting shunted to stuff I don't want, skills I can't disable, blank pages or the inevitable doom loop of pull up a preference setting then dumped into an AI chat window I can't get out of.

If this is the future of Amazon, count me out. Pure moist garbage.

To the engineers at Amazon, you guys suck. Alexa and Echo hardware peaked about 4 years and whatever you've delivered since is just bad engineering and terrible UX. I hope you folks all get fired again.

I don't know what we'll be investing in the future but it won't be Alexa/Echos. Puke.

Downsized YoutubeTV!

Local & Entertainment Plan is great for us $55/mo with unlimited DVR.

Locals, FX and basic cable channels.

So happy to ditch the endless news channels and other garbage and its $28/mo cheaper than their standard plan.

Hoka Gaviota 6 - Re-engineered is a win.

Quick impression of Hoka's reengineered Gaviota 6:

I've always liked the rolling transition in Hoka's but they've never offered shoes that fit me well or handled slight overpronation. Last Gaviota I tried was 3-4 years ago, too narrow and too much fabric/pieces/parts...just felt kludgy. Gemini Pro said that I should try them again because they'd been reengineered and whew man, have they.

I've just done comparison across Saucony, ASICS, Skechers and these new Hokas are the winner.

Gaviota 6:
Best toe box room: I can wiggle my toes.
Lacing: Fantastic feel, no lace bite or doming, its like a cloud on top.
Great Shape: Finally shoes that don't feel like I've strapped Kayaks to my feet (looking at you ASICS GT 14 series)
Rolling Motion: Finally get to see what all the hype is about, feels good around the house during break in.

Looking forward to putting 2-300 miles on these in the next 6 months.

I'm coming from last 3 pair were GT-2000s v12, they clomped more than I'd like until they broke in but were generally ok. I don't know what ASICs was thinking with their new v14, they just feel weird.

Stay Away from Hunter Smart Fans

The litany of problems is too great to list here. Someone should create a class action lawsuit and sue them into oblivion for their terrible WiFi Smart Fan ecosystem. Their products don't have physical pairing buttons on the fan itself and their remotes, apps and whole ecosystem is the worst I've ever seen. We've had 4 years of continuous problems with their SIMPLEconnect products and I wanted to vent here to help others avoid the hurt.

Buyer beware.

Continued Login Issues, Autofill Not working

I am so tired of my browser autofill not working properly with Simplify. For god's sake Quicken, fix this crap. Every time, autofill picks up the user name just fine but to autofill the password it forces me into loop of login to passwords app, search on quicken, select the password.

Its beyond annoying and I've tried several suggested workarounds.

I have hundreds of websites saved and yours is the only one that does this.

Beyond annoying.
