Thinking about doing blood splatters on the power fist but am not sure. Would the energy field just vaporize the blood?

This is my first Trench Crusade mini coming from Warhammer. These guys are very fun and easy to paint since they don't have a million pieces of trim.

Firat time painting a Dark Angel, kind of just doing my heresy Death Guard recipe. The lettering on the shoulder was tough so I tried to mask it with weathering.

Experimented a little with the base using a mix of cork rocks and cut up sprues.

My first Death Guard is nearly complete, learned a lot through trial and error. White paint was a challenge for me, but I am very happy with how this guy turned out.

After much trial and error using GW washes, I decided to use AK dark brown enamel and was pleasantly surprised. I've been happy with GW washes on my Iron Warriors for example, but going over a white color like this, they always turned out too blotchy for my liking. (Last pic is right before the wash)

Would love to hear some feedback and/or tips about the Power Sword. I only had Macragge blue at my disposal so I had to get a little creative with white and glaze medium.

I don't play, so I'm collecting/painting for fun. Got into the lore about a year ago and decided to start painting about a month or so ago. I'm gonna do a few more Iron Warriors and then I think I want to try my hand at heresy Death Guard, tips for painting DG are welcome!
