Seeking information about One Eighty (OneEighty) in Davenport

Greetings Quad Cities!

I’m reaching out to the community because I’ve been reading some deeply concerning things about One Eighty, the faith-based recovery program in Davenport, and I’m trying to separate fact from rumor.

Specifically, I’ve come across multiple allegations regarding the organization’s former leadership, including claims of abuse toward people in the program and people who were already in a very vulnerable place. I’ve also heard that when concerns were raised internally, they may not have been taken seriously.

I know this organization presents itself as a place of hope and transformation, and I’m not here to smear anyone. But when a program that’s supposed to help people ends up being the source of harm, that’s something the community deserves to know about. If you or someone you know has had an experience with One Eighty, positive or negative, that you’re willing to share, I’d really appreciate hearing from you.

A few specific things I’m trying to understand:

  • What was the culture like inside the program, especially under previous leadership?
  • Were there patterns of behavior that made people feel unsafe or controlled?
  • Were concerns raised to the board or staff, and if so, how were they handled?

Before one asks, I'm not a journalist in the traditional sense of the word. Rather, the term I prefer to use is that of "Truthstorian," of which is defined as, "citizen journalists who seek to uncover the truth, often outside of established institutions, by relying on traditional legwork, conversation, and a willingness to confront powerful figures and corruption." Having gnashed my teeth in the Epstein Files for a minute, this is apart of my broader effort to empower the Survivor Movement within my locality. If you have a story, you can reply here or send me a private message if you’d rather not speak publicly.

I know this is a sensitive topic, and I want to be clear: I’m not here to exploit anyone’s trauma. If you’re not ready to talk, I completely understand. But if you are, I’m here to listen.

Thanks to all for reading!

Mykonos Island: Trafficking from Roy Cohn to Peter Mandelson...

While reading through and mapping out the network of Roy Cohn, one of the areas he was said to frequent almost yearly with clients was an Island in Greece by the name of Mykonos. As has become common in my studies, I plugged Mykonos into the DOJ Epstein Files search, and was quickly surprised to find over 200 mentions to this Greek paradise. Prominent names attached to this island range from the Onassis Family (whom started holding parties on his famous Yacht - a typical tool of traffickers and pimps to assault women away from prying eyes) to none other than Peter Mandelson.

In an article by the UK's Prospect Magazine, we are given the following quotation about Roy Cohn, "One entry, “The Rent Boy’s Song”, is about Roy Cohn, who was counsel for Senator McCarthy in the 1950s during his pursuit of communists and later adviser to a young Donald Trump. They met on Mykonos in the 1960s. “He was a very nasty piece of work who would take out famous women in America but come to Mykonos in the summer to pick up blonde boys in his white Jeep." Yikes, right? Especially when you take into consideration that Cohn was potentially involved with trafficking at Studio 54 in New York and the infamous Blue Room. You could even connect him to the Kincora Boys' Home scandal which is a rabbit hole in and of itself.

Unfortunately, being a cheap ass, I have not taken the time to purchase this book to get the poem about Roy Cohn; however, this quote serves as but an entry point. In the famous Esquire article "Don't Mess With Roy Cohn," we are given another statement, "Rarely does he stay in any one place very long. He vacations each year with clients on the island of Mykonos, with the di Portanovas in Acapulco, on British investor Schlesinger's boat in the south of France." Visiting the island almost yearly with clients, what would Cohn do here? And why does it matter with regard to Epstein? Well, birds of the same feather flock together... or whatever that quote is.

When looking at the first screenshot, we are given a small clue that Epstein likely trafficked victims to Mykonos; when the blacked-out sender is requesting a ticket back home, we get an extremely coercive and narcissistic demand for her to say, "Thank you" (sound familiar?), and how she never does. This is textbook abuser behavior outside of the fact it's coming from Epstein. When looking at the 2012 article, we are shown that Boris Nikolic attended a party hosted by Dean and Dan Caten, the twin brothers behind the fashion brand Dsquared2.

A few of the other sources I gathered on the matter are:

  1. https://www.thestival.gr/eidiseis/koinonia/399933-kataggelia-sok-gia-paidiki-porneia-sti-mykono-einai-gnosto-ti-symbainei-sto-nisi-edo-kai-kairo/ "Tax evasion parties" are taking place on islands such as Mykonos, Santorini and Folegandros with rental villas that prove to be "gold mines" for their owners. At the same time, the complaints made about the existence of child prostitution in Mykonos, but also about beatings of residents by thugs for a parking space, are shocking."

  2. https://www.thestival.gr/eidiseis/koinonia/399933-kataggelia-sok-gia-paidiki-porneia-sti-mykono-einai-gnosto-ti-symbainei-sto-nisi-edo-kai-kairo/ "According to what she complained, speaking to ANT1, Alexandra Dimou, a lawyer and resident of the island, there is extensive tax evasion - the audits focus, as she claims, mainly on petty tax evasion - and even child prostitution. Underage girls, aged 12-15, are transported every night in the black VIP cars... It has been known what has been happening on the island for a long time," Ka. Dimou, while he proceeded to another complaint about the beatings of residents and professional taxi drivers by thugs for a parking space."

  3. https://ecpat.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/ECPAT-Country-Overview-Report-Greece-2019.pdf "More recently, in 2019, the conviction of Nikos Georgiadis, a former MP, sparked national controversy when he was found guilty of paying minors in Moldova for sex. In 2018, a media report cited instances of sexual exploitation of children in prostitution in Mykonos, facilitated by foreign tax evasion and short-term rentals. As previously mentioned, following interviews conducted by CARE, evidence suggested that some tourists travelled to Greece specifically to sexually exploit young migrant boys." -

https://publicintegrity.org/politics/steve-bannon-officially-discloses-source-of-2-million-in-personal-debt/

Hidden with the Epstein Archives on the Department of Justice website is a lurid chain of allegations that, if true, places quite an intriguing figure right within the rungs of power. Referred to as a close associate to the likes of Steve Bannon and Donald Trump Jr., and overall, a top adviser for "some of the nation’s most high profile politicians and organizations," it'd be foolish not to include Arthur Schwartz within this overall investigation. According to independent journalist and former Bannon and Thiel associate Charles "Chuck" Johnson, the now "top outside communications and political advisor to Vice President J.D. Vance" was close to Israeli donors and had "ingratiated himself to NSC staffers; Donald Trump Jr.; and Bannon," as well White House interns and his apparent friend ARTHUR HINAGLOW of the New York Post, whom he apparently leaked information too according to Johnson. Also within this chain, and confirmable with outside sources, is Schwartz status as an advisor to the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA), a group of which has million-dollar ties to Miriam Adelson. It's also worth mentioning that the ZOA has also given the Brandeis award to two known Epstein associates in Mortimer Zuckerman and Ronald Lauder.

Furthermore, as alleged by Charles Johnson, a backchannel was created between Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell and Arthur Schwartz, of which Grenell used to leak information to Schwartz. Also quite intriguing is the allegation that Jack Posobiec (of infamous PizzaGate fame and mythology) and Cassandra Fairbanks were both aware of another one of these backchannels, though it's unclear which one this is as it's referred to as separate from Johnsons. Beyond the allegations made by Charles Johnson, the Center for Public Integrity wrote in 2017 in brief blurb, "Bannon could not immediately be reached for comment. Reached by phone Wednesday afternoon, **Arthur Schwartz**, *a Bannon spokesman*, said he’d attempt to reach Bannon." With Steve Bannon himself also being a major POI, the connection between those two figures proves quite the nexus.

From Langley to Wall Street and Vice-Versa: Why Do So Many Make the Move?

Greetings everyone! After many hours of research and discoveries, I wanted to come forward to this community with a rather simple question: why do so many CIA officers retire into Wall Street and other related adventures? Whether it be Private Equity, Venture Capital, or massive defense companies like Palantir, there are loads of former CIA officers who go on to form organizations like Crumpton Global (Henry A. Crumpton), CHAOS Industries (George and John Tenet; Father and Son), Torch Hill Investment Partners, and many more.

This isn't anything new, to be clear; dating as far back to the O.S.S. with William "Wild Bill" Donovan, the CIA has had a rather intimate relationship with Wall Street. With this pipeline having existed from the CIAs founding to the modern day, I feel there is a need for a much wider discussion on this. For example, Joseph Cofer Black, a quite prominent figure within the CIAs history, became a board member of Baltic International Bank, of which was based out of Latvia. He was brought on due to his "counter-terrorism" experience and how it'd be applicable to combating money laundering; yet, within the same period of time as his membership on the board, the company was ensnared with a lot of powerful figures. This mimics that of Nugan Hand Bank in Australia that infamously had William Colby serves as their legal counsel and other CIA-Military figures in positions of authority.

What particularly interests me isn't simply that former CIA officers enter the private sector... after all, many government officials do. It's the historical context that makes this revolving door worthy of scrutiny. The CIA has, throughout its history, worked through proprietary companies, commercial fronts, financial intermediaries, and relationships with private businesses to accomplish intelligence objectives. The Iran-Contra affair demonstrated just how these private companies, intermediaries, retired officials, and intelligence-connected individuals could become intertwined with covert government activity. Earlier episodes, such as Air America, Southern Air Transport, and the Nugan Hand Bank scandal, further illustrate that the boundary between intelligence operations and private enterprise has, at times, been remarkably porous.

Against that backdrop, I think it's reasonable to ask whether the modern pipeline from the CIA into Wall Street, private equity, venture capital, private intelligence firms, and defense technology companies deserves greater public attention. My concern isn't that every single former CIA officer is apart of some grand conspiracy; rather, it's whether institutional capabilities developed for national security should be placed within the hands of private-capital? When does an investment become conflict of interest? The CIA to Wall Street Pipeline is one that goes back to Sullivan & Cromell and Dillon, Read & Co.

Searching for Leads, Contacts, or Information on John David Norman's Network and Operation in Illinois

A man using the name “Steve Gurwell” arrived in Homewood, Illinois, in late summer 1973 and took up residence with Charles Rehling, an associate connected to local social and philanthropic circles. At first, he appeared to be another transient figure passing through suburban networks tied loosely to youth development and community programs.

Within weeks, local authorities would later allege that the man had begun building private contact with teenage boys in the area, operating outside any formal institution or oversight. In October 1973, police received an anonymous tip suggesting misconduct, prompting a quiet inquiry. When he returned to Homewood in November, he was arrested and charged with multiple offenses involving minors. The man they arrested would turn out to be John David Norman, a man who had fled Dallas that same year following the uncovering of Dean Corll's killings and the Odyssey Foundation in Dallas.

While the case moved through the courts, the individual posted bail in 1976 and began circulating newsletters under the banner of a proposed initiative called the “Delta Project.” Publicly framed as a structured mentorship and travel program for young men, it described a system of “Delta-Dorms” and supervisory figures. Authorities later alleged the program functioned as a recruitment and exploitation network, with its reach extending through mailed subscriptions and informal contacts. Using what is akin to a mail-order catalogue, Norman would send out newsletters across the country to patrons who would then purchase boys from his service; according to what exists online, the may he stayed with, Charles Rehling, took one sixteen year old boy from Independence Missouri on a week long trip to Europe.

Investigators also connected the project to outside financial and organizational support, including an individual named Phillip Paske. Serving as the effective right-hand man to Norman, Paske operated the Delta Project when Norman was printing his newsletters from jail, thus maintaining his services. Most strangely about Paske was that he also was confirmed to have worked for the John Wayne Gacy, and in the later part of Gacy's life, he would claim that Paske and others within his construction agency were apart of the operation.

So, why do I tell you all this? Well, it's because I am currently searching for leads into the Delta Project and other associated entities related to Norman in Illinois. Having operated extensively across the United States, his time in Homewood and Chicago are momentary within an overall pattern of abuse, but his scars still very much remain. Although no victims have come to testify or disclose what happened to them, Norman is said to have abused in the range of 10s of thousands of boys across America.

So, what sort of info am I looking for? Well, I'm glad you asked! Having recently FOIA'd the FBI in relation to Norman and his various businesses, I was able to uncover the following organizations that were active in Illinois:

  1. The Delta Project

  2. Creative Corps

  3. M-C Publications

  4. The Delphi Associates

  5. YMX Club - Supposedly operated a club for young gay men out of Chicago, though I cannot find any proof or evidence of it

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The items I am searching for are:

  • Court records from Cook County (indictments, motions, bail filings, trial transcripts, sentencing documents)
  • Arrest reports and police case files from Homewood (1973) and Chicago (1978)
  • Search warrant affidavits and inventory lists from the 1978 apartment raid
  • Prison records from Pontiac Correctional Center (intake notes, behavior reports, parole board evaluations)
  • Parole documentation from 1977 release (conditions, supervision notes, violations if any)
  • Copies of the Delta Project newsletters (Hermes, John Norman’s Newsletter) and any surviving mailings
  • Subscriber and mailing lists linked to the newsletter operation (including seized index cards and address files)
  • Financial records tied to newsletter revenue (bank deposits, money orders, subscription payments)
  • Business or publication registrations tied to any named entities associated with the project
  • Interview transcripts or statements from alleged victims and witnesses from Homewood and Chicago
  • Police informant tips and anonymous calls logged during the initial investigation
  • Property records and lease information for residences used during the Illinois period
  • Any preserved correspondence between associates linked to the newsletter operation
  • Contemporary newspaper coverage (Chicago Tribune and local suburban press reporting from 1973–1978)

Looking for Information Regarding the Adelphi Academies

Hello everyone.

I'm researching an organization called the Adelphi Academies, and I've come to an interesting point.

I found a newspaper article that described Adelphi Academies as a front for male prostitution that was allegedly recognized as such by Florida police, but I'm struggling to find any independent sources that either confirm or refute that characterization.

One person who is connected to the organization is Peter Bradford, who was a co-owner or manager.

Bradford later surfaced in connection with the New Orleans Boy Scout scandal, where he was accused and ultimately convicted in cases involving the abuse of boys who were supposed to attend his schools.

I'm looking for information such as:

  • What was Adelphi Academies officially? (school, educational program, boarding school, travel program, etc.)
  • When and where did it operate?
  • Who founded and managed it?
  • Are there any surviving brochures, advertisements, catalogs, or newspaper ads?
  • Which Florida law enforcement agencies, if any, investigated it?
  • Are there court records, civil cases, or criminal proceedings connected to it?
  • Was the newspaper's description of it as a "front for male prostitution" ever independently substantiated?
  • How extensive was Peter Bradford's involvement?
  • Did Adelphi Academies have any relationship to youth recruitment programs, travel clubs, or other organizations operating during the same period?

At the moment, I only have two solid leads:

  1. A newspaper article that referred to Adelphi Academies as a front for male prostitution and stated that Florida police recognized it as such.
  2. Peter Bradford's later involvement in the New Orleans Boy Scout abuse scandal involving boys who were supposed to attend his schools.

I'm approaching this as a historical research project and am trying to build a timeline using primary sources rather than repeating claims without evidence.

If anyone has access to newspaper archives, court records, educational directories, Florida law enforcement records, or personal recollections, I'd greatly appreciate any leads.

Thanks.

Looking for information on "Quo-Vadis, Inc." (Denver, Colorado) – 1980 mail-order organization mentioned in an old document (Operated by John David Norman - Prolific Trafficker from the 1970s and 1980s) - From FBI FOIA on JDN

Looking for information on "Quo-Vadis, Inc." (Denver, Colorado) – 1980 mail-order organization tied to John David Norman

You may be reading this and wondering... what exactly does OfficerBlazeIt420 have to do with Denver, Colorado? Has he come to steal everyone's hard earned marijuana? Of course not. I am here tracking a lead, and would love your cities help!

Having recently attained documents via FOIA from the FBI regarding John David Norman, I have come across a potential front-organization that he operated in the city of Denver. Who is John David Norman? Well, to put it simply, he was the largest child sex trafficker of the 1970s and likely the 1980s; his operations extended from Coast to Coast, having been caught with the Delta Foundation in Chicago and the Odyssey Foundation in Dallas, Texas. Each of these rings, along with the others he led, focused on the trafficking of young boys to "Dons" who would pay to have "time" with the "fellows" and "cadets."

Anyways, through this investigation, I have come across an organization called Quo-Vadis, Inc. (QV) based in Denver, Colorado, and I'm trying to find out more about it.

The document says:

>

Some details that stand out:

  • Name: Quo-Vadis, Inc. (QV)
  • Location: Denver, Colorado
  • Founded: 1980
  • Founder/operator: John David Norman
  • Business model: Published a directory connecting young men (mostly college students) with older, wealthier subscribers who would subsidize their travel expenses.
  • Controversy: The organization explicitly denied being a "callboy" operation.
  • Publications: Produced a monthly QV Newsletter.

I'm trying to determine:

  1. How active was Quo-Vadis, Inc. in the Denver, Colorado area, and is there anything left of it in the modern day?
  2. Was Quo-Vadis, Inc. a legitimate travel/social networking organization, or was it widely understood to be an escort/callboy service operating under another label?
  3. Are there any surviving copies of the QV Newsletter or member directories?
  4. Was the company ever investigated by law enforcement or involved in any court cases?
  5. Does anyone remember seeing advertisements for it in magazines, newspapers, or LGBTQ publications from the 1980s?

For context, this appears to have existed during a period when many gay social and travel networks operated through mail-order directories before the internet era, so I'm interested in both the historical and cultural context.

If anyone has newspaper archives, old publications, personal recollections, or knows where this organization operated, I would love the help!

Researching the Odyssey Foundation (Dallas, Texas) — Looking for Records, Archives, and Local Leads (1970s–1980s)

Good Morning Dallas,

I’m an independent researcher working to better understand the historical record surrounding the Odyssey Foundation, an organization that appears in multiple secondary sources and investigative references connected to John David Norman and related criminal proceedings during the 1970s–1980s.

While the Odyssey Foundation is mentioned in a range of materials, the available information is often fragmented, inconsistently described, or difficult to trace back to primary documentation. I’m currently attempting to reconstruct a clearer picture of the organization’s structure, operations, geographic presence, and any documented activity in Texas—particularly the Dallas area.

At this stage, I’m not looking for general summaries or repeated online information. I’m specifically seeking primary-source material, archival records, and local knowledge that may help identify verifiable leads.

What I’m hoping to find includes:

  • Texas-based records referencing the Odyssey Foundation (business registrations, nonprofit filings, tax records, or assumed-name filings)
  • Dallas-area newspaper coverage, including smaller local publications that may not be fully digitized
  • Court documents, police reports, or investigative files in which the organization is mentioned
  • Addresses, office locations, mailing lists, or known operational sites connected to the organization
  • References in university archives, library special collections, or journalist research files
  • Mentions in social services, advocacy groups, or institutions operating in Dallas during the relevant period
  • Information on individuals associated with, employed by, or investigating the organization
  • Leads on retired journalists, attorneys, investigators, or social workers who may have encountered the name in their work
  • Any microfilm records, archived newsletters, or non-digitized materials that may contain references
  • Anyone who knows of someone affected by Norman

From what I’ve gathered so far, the Odyssey Foundation appears inconsistently across different accounts tied to Norman’s broader network, making it difficult to determine its formal structure or whether it operated as a registered entity, a label used in reporting, or something more informal. Because of that, even small details—names, addresses, dates, or partial references—could be useful in building a more accurate historical record.

To be clear, I’m focused strictly on verifiable historical documentation and archival research. My goal is to understand how this organization was recorded and described in its own time through primary sources and institutional records, rather than rely on repetition of secondary summaries.

If anyone has suggestions for where relevant materials might be located, or knows of archives, collections, or individuals worth contacting in the Dallas area, I would greatly appreciate the guidance

Looking for Information on John David Norman's "Delta Project" and Illinois Connections

Hello everyone,

I'm an independent researcher currently looking into John David Norman, a convicted sex trafficker who operated multiple organizations and front groups during the 1960s and 1970s. One organization frequently mentioned in historical reports is the Delta Project, which was directly operated out of Chicago.

I'm attempting to locate:

  • Information on where the organization operated in Chicago or elsewhere in the state
  • Court records, police investigations, or public documents related to Norman and his associates
  • Personal recollections from anyone familiar with the case or who remembers media coverage at the time
  • Information about related organizations, including the Odyssey Foundation and other groups linked to Norman
  • Former journalists who investigated Norman, the Delta Project, or related cases.
  • Retired law enforcement officers, prosecutors, social workers, or court personnel who may have worked on investigations connected to Norman.
  • Historians, researchers, or archivists familiar with Chicago vice investigations, child exploitation cases, or organized crime during the 1960s–1980s.
  • University, nonprofit, or private archival collections that may contain correspondence, notes, clippings, photographs, or unpublished research.
  • Individuals who remember the Delta Project's operations in Chicago or have family members who were involved in related investigations.
  • Leads on local organizations, community groups, or advocacy organizations that may have documented the case at the time.

I've already reviewed a number of publicly available sources, but much of the information online is fragmented, contradictory, or difficult to verify. My goal is to separate documented facts from rumors and build a better understanding of the historical record.

If you know of archives, libraries, local historians, newspaper databases, or other resources that might help, I'd greatly appreciate any leads.

Thank you.

Researching Craig J. Spence's Washington, D.C. Network (1980s) — Looking for Local Knowledge, Records, or Leads

Good Morning Washington D.C.!

I come forth as an independent researcher investigating Craig J. Spence, the Washington lobbyist and political consultant who became a controversial public figure in the late 1980s for his late-night White House tours and Kalorama Party's. Given that nearly four decades have passed, many traditional leads have gone cold, any official documents or records have become difficult to locate, and many of the people involved are no longer around. Because of that, I'm casting a wide net and hoping the local knowledge of this community might help point me in the right direction.

One of the things I'm currently trying to learn more about is an organization referred to in some sources as "Craig Spence Associates" or "Craig Spence Associates, Washington, D.C." I'm attempting to determine whether this was a formally organized firm, a trade name, or simply a label used for Spence's consulting and lobbying activities. I was able to confirm that Spence operated out of a suite on 1629 K Street, N. W., Washington D.C., 2006 which I was able to track down to an office-space that's a five-minute walk from the White House.

At this point, I'm interested in any lead that can be documented or investigated further, including:

  • Former Washington-area business directories from the late 1970s and 1980s.
  • Information on what may have happened to Craig Spence Associates following his suicide at the Ritz-Carlton
  • Any surviving documents related to dinner parties, meetings, or any record of Craig J. Spence
  • References to Spence in political directories, lobbying records, or social registers.
  • Information about associates, employees, clients, or organizations connected to him.
  • Knowledge of archives, libraries, universities, or institutions that may hold relevant records.
  • Recollections from longtime D.C. residents who remember Spence's presence in Washington's political, lobbying, or social circles.
  • Any obscure sources that might be worth exploring.

Recently, I have uncovered correspondence from December 1981 in which former Senator Abraham Ribicoff wrote to Spence following a dinner party, praising both Spence and his guests. I have also gotten over 500 pages to look through as a result of special documents request from the UCLA. Finds like that suggest there may still be overlooked records that can shed light on his activities and network during the early 1980s.

To be clear, I'm looking for verifiable information, records, archival sources, and research leads. I am not out here proposing that Craig J. Spence was some grand conspiratorial figure; I am dedicated to understanding his orbit, network, and power within the actual historical context that is given. Given the passage of time, even seemingly small details—an old address, known business associates, friends, a directory entry, a suggestion for where records might be store, or if you were one of the few unlucky ones to be snared up within his orbit.

If you have any information or ideas on where I should look next, I'd absolutely be grateful for the help and will credit those who aided my research when the work is published. Thank you for any and all help this community is able to give me!
