Can’t seem to access the bottom inside frame of top window pane of vertical sash window to fix some of the locks, but also window cleaning.
Unable to slide top window pane past lower due to the circled lip blocking any pass.

Saw an emu yesterday at Merrylands park in Sydney and observed something I wasn’t expecting. After it defecated, it then expelled what looked like a strong, separate stream of clear yellow liquid, completely distinct from the poo, and a significant volume (close to a litre). Looked exactly like a mammal urinating. Warm autumn day so the bird may have had a big drink recently.
I knew something seemed off when I saw it, but because an emu isn’t exactly a stock-standard bird it took me a few minutes to click why it was so weird - this would be abnormal for a bird.
I know birds normally pass urates and faeces together through the cloaca, so this caught my attention. The colour and volume really did look like mammalian-style urination.
Has anyone else observed this in emus? Is this known/documented behaviour, or just an unusual one-off from a well-hydrated bird?
