These lil dudes were amazing last night, very skittish and didn’t wanna let me get close by but still managed to get some decent photos 🥰

An unusual site of emus taking a dip!!!

Known more for running than swimming, this group of emus have been caught on camera swimming and bobbing across a river with just their heads poking above the water.

The birds move in a neat line before safely reaching the other side — proving these big birds can do more than just emu-se us on land.

Doesn't the little ones look so cute

The 2nd half i sore on the news today so tracked down the video of it.

Has anyone noticed Magpies have different songs in different parts?

I regularly encounter three magpie families: one that drinks out of a bowl at my house on hot days, one at cricket, and one family at my school. Through my own (pretty basic, I'm not the greatest birder) observations, I've noticed that each different magpie's song is ever so slightly different. Has anyone else noticed this same kind of thing?

A happy time looking for birds!

I spent a couple of hours at one of my favourite local parks here in Tenterfield, NSW yesterday and there were many birdies to be seen :)

Superb Fairy-wrens, Fan-tailed Cuckoo, White-throated Treecreeper (F), Varied Sittella, Eastern Yellow Robin, Jacky Winter.
