I have been wanting to work on my freehand, and my dad gave me his dreadnought to practice on, keeping the salamanders colours with a medieval regal style was pretty hard but i’m really proud of it so far!
I’ve been wanting to work on my freehand painting, and my dad let me paint a dreadnought for his army so it was the perfect opportunity! I was going for a very medieval vibe and trying to keep it regal even with the flames. I haven’t decided on designs for the shoulder pieces yet, I’m going to add the paper seals on them as I forgot to make room for them on the front
I was going to post this on the regular furry subreddit buuut I don’t have enough karma so I figured this’d be a good place to put it, i do any species although I am less practiced with birds and marine life so it’ll be a little trickier

What do y’all think of the pricing? Some simple shading would be free, different sizes take me around the same time so I figured it’d be better to just do full bodies.
I recently found this doll in my parents’ basement, I’m estimating she is a 1920s era doll, she had a silk covered face but most of it had rotted off.
I first removed the silk pieces and cut around the eye paint as to not ruin it. while doing that I found that her eyes were originally blue but the gloss had yellowed them.
I repainted her face with Vallejo miniature paints, as it’s what I had on hand. I very carefully drybrushed the cheeks and eyeshadow, it took me a few minutes with a tiny amount of paint to build up the colour.
I removed the outfit to wash it, and found that her arm was full of holes, so I blanket stitched around all the edges and patched over all the holes. The dress is sewn on so it doesn’t need to be pretty.
I let the clothing air dry and sewed it back on as close to how it originally looked as possible. Most of the seams were originally hand sewn.
