I've been attempting to clone this incredible Yriel and Skrag Brown mix from Infernal Brush which is a ratio of 2:1, every version I make of this looks like a caramel brown. The Eavy metal mix in the recent Imperial Fist recipe they published is 4:1 - even then I get a light caramel tone.

Trying lots of other brand alternatives as well, the closest I've got is using a high ratio of vallejo 6:1 Sun Yellow and Parasite brown which is nowhere near as vibrant, warm yellow as this video.

Has anyone got a mix or a ratio they have that is anywhere near similar to infernal brushes in this video?

Started airbrushing today and getting familiar with the set-up, I've got a host of test models to try. This is my 3rd attempt.

Some pooling, clearer on the rear side picture. What do I need to adjust?

I am using;

Gaahleri Mobius 0.3 Brush

FD-186 Compressor at 25 PSI

Vallejo Mecha Primer (tried no flow and added flow)

So I've now painted 17 different attempts of Imperial Fist colour schemes, I have whittled it down to these two, ignore the low quality painting level! I can't decide which colour to commit to, what is your preference?

Left:

• Prime: Sunset Forge: Valrak Yellow
• Base: Vallejo Mecha Yellow - Terrible application, changed to Model Colour Yellow Ochre which is really close to Averland sunset
• Pin Wash: Citadel Seraphim Sepia Wash
• Highlights: Citadel Flashgitz Yellow
• Fine Edge Highlight: Vallejo Lemon Yellow

Right:

• Prime: Army Painter White
• Base: Imperial Fist Contrast
• Layer: Moon Yellow
• Pin Wash: Citadel Seraphim Sepia Wash

I have no idea how to paint this, it looks like a veil over a skeletal corpse, it would be great to see all of your versions of this banner painted to get some inspiration?

I have been testing many of our fellow redditors yellow paint acheme approach (albeit all with brush as I don't own an airbrush).

These are my test models, varying yellows, varying techniques, varying approachs. Less about a perfect model and more about getting a great yellow.

I personally prefer a bright yellow as oppose to a orange hue or grimdark style. I think I've found my preference, out of curiosity brothers - what's yours?
