My impression is that Wish Nikki thought Bear loved her for her and only her, that's why the dating montage was perfect for the two of them.

But once Wish Nikki realized Bear has been projecting Real Nikki onto her instead of accepting who she is really, it upsets her, making her not feel loved. Imagine the girlfriend getting upset at her boyfriend for projecting his crush onto his girlfriend.

Later, when Bear is in doubt and start separating the two and realizing Wish Nikki is not the Nikki he wants, him pulling back drives her nuts.

Also, his fear of Wish Nikki also fuels her insanity.

In my first viewing, I thought Nikki implied to Bear that Sarah is attracted to him during the car scene yet it barely phased him.

The later scenes throughout the movie showed how obvious Sarah was into him and Bear is not too interested in her. Like how he actually looks better and behaves more confidently around Sarah because he just didn't seem to care about how she thinks of him, ironically.

In my first viewing, I originally thought Bear just thought of Sarah like a sister. Even at the end, in Sarah's final moments, I thought Bear was going to turn down Sarah gently down, when she said, "I was to your left. You were supposed to kiss me."

Or there was just too much going on in his mind, he was still thinking about a solution for Wish Nikki while he is with Sarah?

For this scene, you can see when Bear is slowly realizing it was all the Wish. He is walking away from the EXIT sign in the restaurant. This symbolizes Bear is in the point of no return and have no other way to exit this situation. Bravo Curry.

Wanna hear a really, really bad joke?

I finally dreamt of my girlfriend again last Sunday, I tried to make the best out of it.

She was smiling and hugging me while jumping up and down and wrapping her hands around my arm like she always did.

I was grinning but I was holding back my tears so hard. She finally looks concerned. And asked me. What's on my mind. I know it's all a dream. No way this is happening.

I just cracked my usual sarcastic smirk and told her, "I will tell you later."

Deep down inside, I was dreading for my alarm. But that was the best experience I've had in the entire year. Too bad it's all fake.

I still visit her from time to time. It used to be daily. Now I am trying to visit her weekly instead.

One day it'll just be like another piece of stone by the side of the road.

Getting out of bed has been hard. My girlfriend's been gone a year ago. This is the only community I am able to crack a real smile again instead of the fake ones I've been putting on to fit in real life.

On my first viewing, I treated it as Nikki wasn't into Bear. She was just not into him and want a new refresh and restart in some place not knowing anyone to begin anew.

On my second viewing, I started checking their body languages before the car scene and the calls, it does seem like there was a chance if Bear was brave enough.

But I've read so many comments that agree with my first viewing more here.
