What: Open breaking 1v1 KUMITE format*

*What is KUMITE format?

Breakers will enter the competition solo. The judges will select a minimum of sixteen through a cypher prelim. Of the sixteen, the top two will be made captains and will draft seven breakers each of the remaining fourteen to form two teams of eight.

These two teams will battle in a knockout format, meaning every round will be judged. Once one team is completely eliminated, the battle will end.

From the winning team, two new captains will be selected, based on rounds won. If there is a tie, preference will be given to a previous captain. These two captains will draft three of the six remaining breakers to form two teams of four. These two teams will battle in the same knockout format.

Repeat this process for the next round to form two teams of two.

The two remaining breakers will battle head to head to be crowned Smoke Sesh KUMITE champion. Many will fall, only one will claim total victory...
