Pata hai aaj kya hua

My ex texted me again. She’s been doing this on and off for months now.

For context, she left me for another guy back in 2022.

Last week she messaged me saying she wanted another chance. She told me she’d make it up to me, be on her best behavior, and that she’d been thinking about me all day.

I told her she had a boyfriend and needed to stop texting me. She replied that they had broken up a long time ago, that she was completely over him, and that’s why she was reaching out to me. I said no and asked her not to contact me anymore.

Now here’s where it gets weird.

Last night, a mutual friend sent me her Instagram story. In the story, her boyfriend is literally feeding her dinner with his hands and kissing her on the cheek. They looked very much together.

So now I’m sitting here wondering what the truth is.

Scenario 1: They actually broke up for a brief period and got back together. In that case, what if I had said yes? She would have convinced me she was over him, gotten back together with me, while apparently still being in love with him enough to jump right back into the relationship.

Scenario 2: They never broke up at all. Which means she was trying to get back with me while actively dating him.

Either way, someone is being lied to.

The part that bothers me is that from everything I’ve heard through mutual friends, her boyfriend is genuinely a good guy.

I’m not interested in getting back with her, and honestly this whole thing just confirmed I made the right decision. But now I’m wondering if I should tell her boyfriend what happened.

On one hand, if I were in his position, I’d probably want to know.

On the other hand, I don’t want to look like the bitter ex who’s trying to interfere in someone else’s relationship.

Would you tell him, or would you just let it go and move on with your life?
