Severe flushing + Meds

I have severe flushing daily that burns so badly and has really impacted my quality of life. I’ve been on Carvedillol for about a month and haven’t noticed any change in my flushing. I have been on Paroxetine for a few weeks and still no change but studies showed it could take 12 weeks. I want to try Clonidine, but I’m losing so much hope and my face hurts so badly and I flush just so much.

When I got my wisdom teeth out last year (with anesthesia), I was flushed immediately when I woke up from the surgery, but for the rest of the day afterwards I was so not flushed and I wasn’t reacting at all to things I normally blush to. It was so crazy and gave me hope and then it all retuned next day. Why would this occur? Nervous system calmed by anesthesia? Blood vessel constriction? Are there any meds that could sort of mimic this effect?

Sorry guys I’m just really really struggling and I’m only in college and this has already ruined my life for years.

Anyone try Cowboy Collostrum for flushing and rosacea? And has anyone seen improvement in flushing from fixing the gut? I have SIBO and am on Rifaximin and hoping for change.

Opening Pain

Hi everyone. I have vaginismus and have been in pt for few months now. The opening is my biggest issue. It’s so tight and stingy and even the first dilator of intimate rose hurts badly to get it in. But I have been able to go up to dilator 5 but I’m sort of stuck now at 3. Normally once I’m past the opening, it doesn’t hurt much but just getting past the opening is rly hard. Anyone have tips ?

Paroxetine(Paxil) for Flushing

My psychiatrist suggested I try the SSRI, paroxetine (Paxil)because there are some studies suggesting Paroxetine in particular may help rosacea flushing, especially when stress/anxiety is a trigger. I also have anxiety and depression, so it could potentially help all three. Has anyone tried this? I’ve tried other SSRIs and Duloxetine and they haven’t helped but there r some interesting studies on Paroxetine. Any experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Carvedilol type one?

Anyone have success with Carvedilol for type 1 rosacea with bad flushing? I have been thinking about asking Dr for it. Triggers are stress, heat, social situations, and it feels like everything triggers it because it happens so many times a day and gets so red and burns.

Derm Apt Tmrw: Flushing Advice

Going to derm tmrw for rly bad flushing rosacea. I’ve had v beam a bunch before and it did help remove broken capillaries and lessen flushing a bit but still rly bad and more flushing creates more broken capillaries. Saw some things about Emrosi helping w bit even though it’s for type 2 pustular rosacea. Anyone else have any oral medications/ advice to ask derm tmrw about. Also been on duloxetine (antidepressant that helps nerve pain too from the burning) and not seen much results.
