EB-3 I-485 – Harlingen FO, Interview Waiver Cancelled + I-485J Silent Update Next Day

EB-3 AOS filed 2/19/26, living in Connecticut.
Timeline:

7/28: Case transferred to a non-local FO (initially I was told Tucson)
8/15: Silent updates on my I-485 + I-485J and spouse’s I-485
8/16: Another silent update only on my I-485J
8/17: Two USCIS agents confirmed my case is now at Harlingen Field Office, TX

Agent said my previous interview waiver was cancelled and an interview was requested on/around 8/15
Agent also said if scheduled, the interview would be at my local Connecticut FO, not Texas
No interview notice yet
Anyone with Harlingen FO / EB-3 experience? Could they waive the interview again after requesting one? Also, anyone see an I-485J silent update the following day and what happened afterward?

EB-3 ROW | Tucson FO | Multiple Silent Updates + I-485J Update

Hi everyone,

Looking for similar Tucson FO EB-3 experiences.

Timeline:
PD: Sep 2023
I-485/I-485J filed: Feb 19, 2026
Biometrics: Mar 5
Jun 28: Silent update
Jul 16: I-485 + I-485J silent update
Jul 28: Another I-485 + I-485J silent update; Emma confirmed transfer to Tucson Field Office
Aug 15: New FTA0 on my & wife’s I-485 + new IAF on my I-485J
Aug 16: Another silent update only on my I-485J

Interview waived, no RFE, and no action required.
Anyone recently approved from Tucson FO with a similar pattern? How long after the FO transfer or I-485J silent update did you get approval?

EB-3 ROW – Case transferred to Tucson Field Office after multiple silent updates. Anyone recently approved from Tucson?

I’m trying to get an idea of what usually happens after an employment-based case is transferred to a Field Office, especially Tucson.

My timeline:
Category: EB-3 ROW
PD: September 2023 (Current)
I-485/I-485J filed: February 19, 2026
Interview: Waived
No RFEs
My wife’s EAD: Approved on April 20
June 28: Silent update on both my and my wife’s I-485
July 16: Silent update on my I-485 & I-485J, and my wife’s I-485
July 28: Another silent update on my I-485 & I-485J, and my wife’s I-485

Today, an Emma live agent told me my I-485 was transferred to the Tucson Field Office yesterday and that my interview is still waived. They also said employment-based cases don’t have to be adjudicated by the applicant’s local field office.

I’m in Connecticut, so I was surprised to hear my case is now in Tucson.

For anyone whose EB-2/EB-3 case was transferred to the Tucson Field Office:
How long after the transfer did you receive a decision?
Was your interview still waived?
Did your case get approved directly from Tucson?
Any recent Tucson FO approval timelines?
I’d really appreciate hearing recent experiences.

Thanks!

Third Silent Update (7/28) on I-485 & I-485J – EB-3 ROW, Anyone Else Before Approval?

I’m an EB-3 ROW applicant with a current PD. My I-485 package was filed on February 19, 2026. My interview has been waived, and I haven’t received any RFEs.

Here’s my timeline:
PD: September 2023 (Current)
Filed: February 19, 2026
Interview: Waived
No RFEs
My wife’s EAD: Approved on April 20
June 28: Silent update on both my and my wife’s I-485
July 16: Silent update on my I-485 and I-485J, and my wife’s I-485
July 28: Another silent update on my I-485 and I-485J, and my wife’s I-485
The interesting part is that on July 28, both my I-485 and I-485J updated at almost the exact same time (only about 98 milliseconds apart), and my wife’s I-485 also had a silent update.

No new notices, no RFEs, and no status changes—just the internal updatedAt timestamp changed.

Has anyone had this pattern of multiple I-485/I-485J silent updates before approval?

How long after your last silent update did you receive approval?
Did your spouse’s case update together with yours?
Was your case still at NBC, or had it already been transferred?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone with a similar EB-3 timeline.

Thanks!

February 2026 RD | EB-3 ROW | Any recent approvals with similar timeline?

I wanted to share my timeline and see if anyone with a similar case has been approved recently.

Priority Date : September 2023 (Current)
I-485/I-765/I-485J Receipt Date: February 19, 2026
Filed with dependent (spouse)

Timeline:
April 20, 2026 – Dependent’s I-765 (EAD) approved.
June 28, 2026 – Silent update on both my I-485 and my dependent’s I-485.
July 16, 2026 – Another silent update on both our I-485s and both I-485Js (same day).

Since then, no updates on my EAD or either I-485.
I also have an expedite request pending due to severe financial hardship because I’ve been unable to work since March 16, 2026, while my employer is
still holding my position.

Has anyone with a similar timeline (especially February 2026 receipt dates or September 2023 PD) received:
I-765 approval?
I-485 approval?
Any updates after similar silent updates?

I’d really appreciate hearing your recent timelines. Thanks!

Anyone else getting “Your case status is unavailable at this time” on USCIS today?

My USCIS account is showing “Your case status is unavailable at this time” instead of my normal case status. Is anyone else seeing this today? Did your status come back normally, or did it lead to an update or approval? Thanks!

I-485 & I-485J silent update together - no new events. Good sign?

My I-485 and I-485J both got a silent update today (same timestamp within milliseconds), but no new events, notices, or status changes. My I-765 wasn’t updated.

Has anyone had this happen? Was it a good sign? What happened next, and how long did it take? Any similar experiences?

I-765 expedite request forwarded to Texas Service Center — what happens next?

“**”**Dear [NAME REMOVED],

Thank you for your inquiry dated [DATE REMOVED].

We have determined that your situation and evidence meets the minimum criteria for your expedite request to be forwarded to the office with jurisdiction over your case.

Please Note: This does not mean your case will be expedited, as that decision will be made by the reviewing office. As such, the reviewing office may request additional documentation to support expedited processing. Also, if your documentation is in any language other than English, it must be accompanied by a Certified English Translation.

The referral ID for this inquiry is [REFERRAL ID REMOVED]. The TEXAS SERVICE CENTER will contact you concerning your case once they have reviewed your inquiry. Please allow the USCIS office 30 days to contact you through email.””

I submitted an I-765 expedite request based on financial hardship. USCIS replied that my situation and evidence met the minimum criteria for the expedite request to be forwarded to the office with jurisdiction over my case.

The message also says this does not mean the case will definitely be expedited, and that the reviewing office may request more evidence. It says Texas Service Center will contact me after reviewing the inquiry and to allow up to 30 days for an email response.

Has anyone received this same message before? What happened next — approval, request for more evidence, denial, or no update? How long did it take after this message?

EB-3 Looking for some thoughts on my cas

My wife and I both filed our employment-based AOS (EB-3) in February 2026. We both had a silent update this past Sunday. Interestingly, we also both had a silent update back in April, with our case timestamps changing within milliseconds of each other.

Current situation:
RD - February 19th
Biometrics - March 5th
Wife’s EAD was approved in April.
My EAD is still pending.
No changes on either my I-485 or I-485J status.
We submitted a Senator expedite request for my EAD in May due to financial hardship.

Now we both had another silent update on Sunday, but there are still no visible status changes.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this latest silent update be a positive sign that an officer is actively working on our cases, or is it just routine system activity? Especially interested in hearing from anyone who had silent updates before receiving an EAD or green card approval.

Thanks in advance!
