Paying $40,000 before match?

Hello everyone! My husband and I are looking into pursuing surrogacy after a battle with infertility due to adenomyosis, endometriosis, and PMOS. We are in the PNW and were considering Pacific Northwest Surrogacy Center. From what I understand from their website, we would need to pay $40,000 upon signing with the agency, and then they would begin the matching process. From what I have seen on this sub, paying before match is illegal advised. I am looking for any input or advice on this topic as we want to make the smartest decision with the agency we choose. We like that NWSC is close by, but don’t want to make such a huge financial commitment without feeling solid. Thank you all!

Bad flare after ivf

I am in a really bad flare after a round of IVF that ended last Wednesday. I had severe pelvic pain after the egg retrieval that was difficult to control even with narcotics. Now I have uterine pain that wont stop, and feels like my classic adeno pain. I’m so uncomfortable, my hormones are dropping rapidly now that i’m not on the medications, and I’m worried I won’t have any embryos. To top it off, i’m fighting with my husband. I’m so sick of this disease, ya’ll.

I was not prepared for the physical sensations of IVF

ya’ll…. I keep hearing people saying that they found the physical part of Ivf to be easier than they expected. But that could not be further from my reality. Mentally, it’s horribly difficult, and physically it’s ALSO HORRIBLY DIFFICULT. My arm veins have died and went to heaven from all the blood draws, my abdomen is bruised and sore and covered in injection marks, and my ovaries… dear god my ovaries. Every 15 seconds I’m reminded of my infertile predicament by a “twinge” that feels like the most god-awful sensation known to man and is buried inches into my body so I can’t even massage it out. Some of these “twinges” are so strong i’m gasping and grasping my side like i’ve just received a mortal wound and people around me are staring at me with concern. My follicles aren’t even big or even numerous but i’m already waddling around. This is 100% the most difficult and uncomfortable experience of my life bar none. Every woman that powers through this should be entitled to compensation.

Coordinated with Claudie to give an AG powerpoint

Disclaimer- I know my closet is a mess please don’t judge me 😄
My friend group had a PowerPoint night and I gave a presentation where I ranked all the currently available AG historical characters by vibe. I coordinated outfits with Claudie for the presentation. I presented right between another pp titles “ranking the throwability of different pastries” and one called “who is Miss information and why is everyone talking about her?”

My presentation ended up getting quite a big applause.

Am I being overstimmed?

Hello! I’m 27, diagnosed with endo and adeno via lap, and I’m on my 2nd ivf cycle. For background, my AMH is 2.33 and my afc >10mm was 20.

In my previous cycle, I stimmed with 150 menopur and 150 follistim and ended up with 3 euploids out of 19 eggs.

This cycle at a new clinic, we added in letrazole (2.5mg daily) and are doing 150 menopur and 225 follistim. Its stims day 2 and I’m starting to feel worried that they may be overstimmimg me with that dosage jump, especially since letrozole also increases fsh. I don’t have my first ultrasound monitoring appointment until Monday, which will be my cycle day 5. I’m worried that even if we slow down the dosages later, that I’ll have already hurt my eggs. Anyone have thoughts or advice??

What kind of doctor do I see exactly?

I was given a diagnosis of adenomyosis during my lap for endo. I’ve been under the care of a reproductive endocrinologist during my IVF and honestly they don’t seem to want to look into the adeno at all or discuss how it could be impacting my success in conceiving. I was hoping to get an MRI to better understand how my uterus impacted, and talk to somebody who could understand how to help with some of the non-fertility related and fertility related problems. What kind of doctor am I supposed to see for this?
