Former employee still receiving guest messages 9 months after termination—is this normal?

I recently learned that someone I know who worked at a Tru by Hilton (in Santa Rosa Beach, FL) was terminated about nine months ago, yet they are still receiving guest messages via the hotel’s Kipsu messaging platform.
This feels like a massive security and privacy failure. This person is essentially able to read active guest correspondence, see who is checking in, and track guest communication with the front desk.
Is this standard operating procedure for hotels to leave terminated employees in the system indefinitely, or is this a major lapse in the hotel's data security protocols? As a guest, it’s honestly pretty alarming to know that my conversations with the front desk might be visible to someone who no longer works there.
Has anyone else dealt with this or worked in hotel management? Should I be reporting this to corporate, or is there a standard way these platforms are supposed to be managed when staff turns over?
