Moving to Gainsville this fall, any advice?

Hello, I’m transferring to the university of Florida this fall and I’ll be moving to the area. I’m local to central Florida so the move won’t be too drastic but still different! I’m touring some apartments in a few weeks. So my question is to those of you who have gone through the whole apartment hunting process, do you have any advice? Specifically those of you without roommates (bonus points if you took a cat). Is there areas I should avoid completely? What are apartment must haves for gainsville? What should I expect? How was your experience? My questions are truly endless so anything is appreciated!

My cat injured his paw. What can I do?

My cat was napping today and I noticed his paw was peeling. The injury looks old (like a few days maybe?). I’m genuinely clueless as to how he could’ve hurt himself and I feel so bad for not noticing sooner. He isn’t display any symptoms of pain but I am worried it could get infected. How can I safely treat his paw? I don’t think it’s life threatening or anything ER worthy. I’m mostly concerned about how to keep it clean so that it heals properly. He is a completely indoor cat except he goes into the porch at times (it’s completely enclosed so he cannot go outside). Any advice is appreciated!

Best HYSA for college student?

Hello, I’m 20 and a sophomore in college. I have been wanting to open a high yield savings account for ages. I have a few thousand saved but it’s stagnant. I’ve heard of many options but they always seem to have some sort of catch. Like a high monthly deposit needed or something along those lines. I just want a simple and trustworthy bank where my money can sit and grow. Sorry if this is a basic question but any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Transfer Addendum Form

Does anyone know how long transfer addendum forms take to be processed? I submitted it April 20th and have yet to hear back any update on the status of my application. Also is there an official transfer decision deadline? I’ve been unable to find anything online so I don’t know what timeline to expect. Any information is appreciated!
