Team Turbo Butt now!

Started at 0600 at 290-300, went to play golf, ran out of fuel (hubs sent me a text that my DigiQ was beeping and the temp had dropped to 195 about 4hrs in to the cook), got home from golf and temp was around 170. Refueled, got it back to 290ish, put the shoulder back on. Took it off around 5pm, never wrapped it. Put it in foil and an old towel and into a small cooler for three hours. Still steaming and hot to the touch when I pulled it just now. Unreal flavor, so juicy. Basically, created my own stall by not having enough lump in the egg (looked good in the dark at 0530!) Anywhoos……I am now firmly Team Turbo Butt!

Got the AI bot when I called OPM today

It was fairly easy to get transferred to a real person (there was a long wait and then I opted to have them call me back.)

I have been in the final review stage (over 8 weeks) since late May or early June....kind of ridiculous because I am consistently told that there is nothing missing from my package and that they have everything they need. I have to say, when I do get to talk to a human, they are very helpful and nice. I am most concerned that the longer this takes, the more FEHB I will have to pay back instead of having it just taken from my annuity.

DRP'd over a year ago, started interim payments in January...still not finalized. WTH?

Trying a turbo butt for the first time tomorrow.

8lb-er, bone in. I do not plan to wrap (until I put her in the cooler.) Should I put stock or water in the drip pan on the conveggtor?

Brisket question

Morning y’all! I have been watching a ton of YT videos on brisket smoking. A lot of them show the brisket with foil loosely wrapped on the end of the flat. Why is that? Is it to protect the end? I thought wrapping promoted faster cooking, so this seems counterintuitive?

Use the Large BGE rotisserie on my Medium?

Hey y’all- what do you think about the compatability of the BGE rotisserie on a medium! The grid is a difference of three inches…I wonder if a small refabrication of the spit would work?

Bought a Weber kabob attachment for a rotisserie….OMG

Holy cow. It was an impulse buy on Amazon the other day. Made chicken thigh kabobs using a yoghurt marinade with cumin, paprika, garlic, and cinnamon. Def on the summer rota now!
