I’ll start by saying that I (25F) have nothing against Autism nor people with it. I’ve many friends over the years with Autism. I’ve been tested once or twice and don’t have it. I have ADHD and sensory issues especially with touch and taste. Example, I hate cream cheese mostly because of the texture.
Here’s where my SIL (33F) comes in to play. She’s actually my boyfriend’s sister, but I’ll refer to her as SIL to make it easier.
So, SIL calls everyone Autistic because in her words “everyone is autistic.” Her tone towards Autism always comes off as a bit negative. She’s convinced I’m autistic because I don’t like the texture of certain foods. At least once a week she tells me I’m autistic even though I’ve told her multiple times not everyone is actually autistic and I don’t have Autism.

WIBTA if I told her to shove it and get off my back?
