I am a partial dropper preparing for isi bmath / cmi bsc math and it's very depressing seeing the advancements of AI... My query is that are the top institutions like isi , cmi , IISC and iits updating their syllabus to cater towards the changing world? Is it worth doing mathematics in this age ? Will mathematicians be needed or will AI do the research and everything related to it ? How will the role of mathematicians change in the new world if it does?

Im in 12th right now and I'm very interested in mathematics. I will be trying for isi and cmi but i know it's very hard to get in them hence I wanted to ask

what are institutions abroad where it will be possible to pursue pure math comparable to isi/cmi or even lower than them? Can someone please also let me know how to apply for them if possible..... Thanks
