Craft Dual Pistols SOD3

Craft Dual Pistols SOD3

I’d love to see dual pistols added to SOD3. They would be such a fun weapon option! Dual-wielding and taking down all the zeds and zombies would be pretty badass!

Remove the Air Bar.

I find this bar to be extremely gimmicky and unnecessary. Shadow of the Tomb Raider has some of the best swimming in the entire Tomb Raider franchise, not only visually but gameplay-wise too. When Lara starts panicking and the screen begins to fade, that’s when we know it’s time to come up for air. I really hope this is removed or, at the very least, made optional so it can be turned off.

(Also I’m aware we can turn off the entire Hud/Hints which I don’t want to do 😔)

Pick Up Animations?

Okay, so I don’t want this to come across as me “complaining” it’s more constructive criticism. But I find it a little odd that they say this game is supposed to be more realistic, yet we still have these lazy “pick-up” animations. Why doesn’t Lara actually crouch down and put the item inside her backpack? It would make the backpack feel less of an accessory and actually useful to Lara while adding realism.

The Laurie Holden Situation Was More Complicated Than Fans Realize.

🚨 DISCLAIMER: The clip above contains an unused death scene of Andrea that was later reshot. The Term “Road-Kill” is a metaphor used in this post, she isn’t actually on the road the clip above is part of the deleted cut.
-
( The original death scene was supposed to have her torn apart by Zombie Milton, left as ‘road kill, and later discovered by Sasha and Tyreese not even Rick or the rest of the group. Instead, it would have been two characters she had little to no connection with.”

So why was she given such a terrible ending? This all leads back to Glen Mazzara. )

A lot of fans have strong opinions about Laurie Holden’s character, but there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes context people don’t know. The clip above shows her original final scene before it was reshot months later.

Holden was allegedly caught in a terrible situation behind the scenes, with claims that she faced retaliation from her boss/show-runner at the time (Glen Mazzara) that affected her character’s writing. The result was a character fans grew to dislike, intense backlash toward Holden herself, and her eventual departure under “creative reasons.” Or “Shock Value.” Because of this, fans never got to see the original ending Mazzara had planned for Holden’s character in Season 3. The storyline would have seen her save Woodbury on horseback and eventually become the new leader of the community.

All of this happened simply because a woman said no to an abusive man-child.

So why was the scene reshot months later? According to Laurie Holden and Greg Nicotero, the original version was much darker and more of a ‘horror movie’ ending. The reshoot changed the scene to give Andrea a more meaningful final moment and allowed her to be surrounded by characters she had history with.

Clearing up the Andrea & Rick Controversy.
Laurie Holden has also made press for her comments saying , “She was supposed to end up with Rick” To be clear, she’s referring to Andrea’s storyline in the comics here, not necessarily what was planned for the TV show. In the comics, Rick and Andrea’s relationship developed much further before Andrea’s eventual death, which happened years later in the source material.
