Am I being a bad mom if I turn off the baby monitor? HELP...
I need some advice. My daughter is 2.5 yo. I have a baby monitor in her room so I can hear if anything happens, and the monitor itself has worked really well.
The problem is that my daughter talks in her sleep and randomly yells throughout the night. That comfyer baby monitor is so sensitive that every tiny sound from my daughter sets off the alert. So mad.... Every time it happens, my heart jumps and I get an instant adrenaline rush. I'm already a light sleeper, and on top of that, I have that mom instinct where every little sound she makes gets my attention.
Not getting enough sleep for so long has left me exhausted and irritable during the day. I'm less productive, my mood keeps getting worse, andni start blaming myself for not functioning better. It's even affecting my anxiety and emotional health. It just feels like a viscious cycle.
A few nights ago, I accidentally forgot to change the monitor, so it died and shut off. That night, I got the best sleep I've had in a long time. My watch data backed that up too.
Now I really want to turn the monitor off. I can't keep sleeping this badly. But I feel guilty. Does wanting to turn it off make me a bad mom? Should I just keep pushing through? I honestly just want a good night's sleep. I'd really appreciate any advice.

Cover till 60 or 85? What exactly am I insuring after nobody depends on me?
29F. Trying to decide the term of my term insurance and I think I'm confusing two different things.
I probably won't retire around 58-60. Home loan should be done before that. Assuming that life goes roughly to plan, kids should also be earning by my late 50s.
So why am I looking at cover till 80/85?
Obviously my chance at dying at 80 is much higher than at 40.
But if I'm retired, loans are gone and nobody depends on my salary anymore, what financial loss is the policy replacing?
I'm checking ABBSLI right now and they give enough flexibility to take cover for a pretty long period. That's actually what made me question whether "longest available" and "right for me" are completely different things.
I can understand longer cover if spouse is financially dependent, kids come late, there's a special needs dependent or retirement itself is underfunded.
But assuming none of that applies, isn't term cover after the dependency years slowly turning from income protection to inheritance?
How are people deciding the age?
60? 65? Or just take the longest possible because you're buying young anyway?
The absolute cheapest place to get groceries?
The closest grocery store near me is Savemore Primark and I mean it's alright but I was wondering if there are any other places that are cheaper and worth buying there, like while I was searching on this sub I've heard Ohcc be brought up a few times and I checked on Google maps and it's like a little low-key store so I don't understand how can that be cheaper? compared to Savemore?
Or should I maybe just stick to buying from Savemore Primark? please suggest where else to get cheaper groceries and how or why they are cheaper because I'm very curious.
