Marvel x DC x Invincible x My Hero Academia: Worlds Collide - A totally unrealistic superhero crossover fighting game that is inspired by Guilty Gear/Marvel Tokon. Thoughts?

Essentially, the base launch is a crossover between Marvel, DC, Invincible, and MHA. I put in the full roster, but here's how the roster would work:

The roster:

  • Marvel Fighters at launch: Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk, Cap, Storm, Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther, Cyclops, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, Ms. Marvel, The Thing, Dr. Doom, Magneto, Thanos.
  • Marvel DLC: Phoenix, Dr. Strange, Deadpool, Venom
  • DC Fighters at launch: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern (John Stewart), The Flash, Aquaman, Martain Manhunter, Zantanna, Nightwing, Starfire, Cyborg, Hawkgirl, Joker, Harley Quinn, Lex, Darkseid
  • DC DLC: Mr. Terrific, Raven, Hellblazer, Deathstroke
  • Invincible fighters at launch: Invincible, Atom Eve, Rex Plode, Allen, Omni-Man, Conquest, Thragg
  • Invincible DLC: Robot, Battle Beast, Powerplex
  • My Hero Academia fighters at launch: Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki, Uraraka, All Might, Aizawa, Shigaraki, All For One, Dabi, Toga
  • My Hero Academia DLC: Kirishima, Endeavor, Hawks, Mirko, Overhaul, Lady Nagant

The TMNT characters would be part of a separate DLC expansion, which brings in the turtles plus Splinter, Shredder, and Krang. And finally, the guest DLC is separate, bringing in characters from Spawn, Hellboy, One Punch Man, and The Boys.

If I made the SSB6 Roster (But Also Bosses Are Here, For Fun)

This is only a matter of opinion, what do you all think? I'm very hesitant on many characters, but hopefully it's the start of something good!

Whenever the next Smash is revealed (NOT TOMORROW), here's my current pitch for the roster. Feel free to add constructive feedback.

Overhauls for the roster:

  • Mario, Luigi, and Peach would all get updated movesets, with Mario taking from games like Galaxy, Odyssey, and Wonder. Luigi would take more from his Mansion entries. Peach would get updates from her Showtime game. DK would get his design more like Bananza.
  • Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf will represent the BOTW/TOTK era of Zelda, with all three getting movesets changed. Ganondorf would be voiced by Matt Mercer like in TOTK and Ocarina remake. The three would also have a wide costume variety pulled from several eras. Sheik and Young Link are mainly here due to the remake, and would likely mainly get design touch-ups and small quality-of-life updates.
  • Samus would have moves from Dread and Prime 4.
  • Villager and Isabelle would get designs more akin to New Horizons.
  • Anyone whose movesets I didn't talk about stay the same, or I just couldn't think of any.
  • Most of the third party characters would be left unchanged, except for Sonic who would be overhauled to have a more Sonic Frontiers-inspired moveset.
  • VETS WHO ARE IN DANGER: Daisy, Dr. Mario, Rosalina, Plant, Diddy Kong, Toon Link, Dark Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Falco, Wolf, Pichu, Lucario, Incinearoar, Lucas, Ice Climbers, Lucina Roy, Ike, Chrom, Corrin, Wiit Fit, Little Mac, Duck Hunt, Min Min, Banjo, Terry, one Kazuya

NEWCOMERS:

  • Not much to say for first or third party, so I'll relegate it to the ones I have a more opinionated stake in.
  • I'll break down three specific ones I'm particularly interested in for each side.

TOP 3 FIRST-PARTY CHARACTERS (No particular order):

Toad:

  • He'd take a lot from both 2.5D entries in the Mario series plus the Captain Toad games, having similarities to Peach/Villager in visuals. I feel like it'd be a cool way to use a skill-set that can not only bring another cave-like/mine-type character like Steve, but also utilizing various Mario franchise items in creative ways too!

Impa:

  • Her main costumes would be swappable between variants of Age of Calamity and Ocarina of Time, and while her moves would share a few similarities with Sheik, she'd also use the Sheikah Slate in certain moves in order to keep things not feeling like a total Sheik clone. But many key elements would be similar.

Browt (FINAL EVOLUTION UNKNOWN):

  • The newest grass starter from the upcoming Pokemon Winds and Waves, their final evolution that is, could round out a diverse line-up on non Gen-1 starters that we have with Greninja and Incineroar. If Greninja was more frog-ninja esque and Incineroar was more wrestler-cat esque then having a bird-esque Pokemon makes the best sense. It could be a different grass Pokemon if it does come out in 2027, but I just want the next Smash game to have a second grass Pokemon.

THE OTHER NEWCOMERS (First Party):

  • Alear, Noah/Mio, Akira Howard, Chorus Kids, and Ring Fit Trainee seem to all fit as they're all recent characters that have had popularity and could all add unique moves to the roster.
  • Waluigi, Isaac, and Oatchi are out-there DLC character that can embody both wacky and fun, with the purple guy and the Goldensun protagonist being among some of the most requested first-party reps. Oatchi is here because I think after the surprise of Isabelle being in Smash Ultimate, Pikmin should be next in line for the surprise new rep from an existing Nintendo property in Smash.

TOP 3 THIRD-PARTY NEWCOMERS (No particular order):

Shadow The Hedgehog:

  • I'm gonna be honest, I'm a HUGE Sonic fan. And I think especially with the uptick in popularity Shadow has gotten in the past 3 years from the third movie, Shadow Generations, and just Sega overall pushing him in marketing to basically be the unofficial deuteragonist of the Sonic series, I think Shadow deserves his own slot. I think while it can obviously have DNA with Sonic's Smash moveset, I want it to center around two areas: the Chaos powers and the Doom powers. When he'd hit a certain amount of damage, like Terry, Sephiroth, and Kazuya, he'd go into the Doom powers (with the Doom wings). He'd be a mix of Sonic, Mewtwo, and Sephiroth, probably tying Sonic for the fastest fighter in the game while also having ranged attacks, close-range attacks, and mid-range attacks that would make him more all-around than Sonic on paper (though that doesn't mean Sonic himself isn't versatile if you see how pro Ultimate players use him).

Chun-Li:

  • The third Street Fighter rep in Smash has to be her. We got Ryu in Smash 4, and then Ryu's iconic best friend/rival Ken in Smash Ultimate. I think the first female playable character to debut in a fighting game deserves to be put in the most historic crossover in gaming. I think her moveset would be far more agile and less tank-like than Ryu/Ken. We'd obviously have her iconic kick, and just a much faster character in general. I think she wouldn't be easy to knock back unlike other characters that are considered "agile" though. I think Captain Falcon would kind of be a good comparison, but not exactly.

Zagreus/Melinoe (Hades/Hades II)

  • One of these is making into the base game, and one is making it into the DLC. Due to dev time and such, I think Zagreus is more likely to come first. Either way, both of these characters are my most wanted going into Smash 6. Supergiant's rogue-like masterpiece has had quite the history on Switch consoles, so I think it has a leg up compared to other indie franchises that people want to see in Smash.
  • Zagreus would utilize the Stygian Blade, Eternal Spear, the Heart-Seeking Bow, and the Twin Fists in his moveset. He'd also utilize boons from Athena, Poseidon, Artemis, and Demeter.
  • Melinoe would utilize the Witch's Staff, the Sister Blades, the Umbral Flames, and the Black Coat for her moveset, and use boons from Apollo, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, and Hera.

THE OTHER NEWCOMERS (Third Party):

  • Alucard, Dante, Doom Slayer, Chief, Hunter, and Rayman are all good and reasonable picks for third party big IP newcomers. Not much to say here. Alucard came close to being picked in Ultimate anyways.
  • I think Undertale OR Deltarune, alongside Hollow Knight and Guilty Gear should be the indie franchises that should be most deserving of reps. They all add unique play styles like Hades would.

Please share your thoughts, I fell asleep while writing this so I may have missed some things. Keep it constructive please.

Smash 6 Base Roster (No DLC) Prediction

(NOTE: Some of the text got cut off due to the godawful compression)

I personally do NOT think Smash 6 is getting announced on Wednesday, but I thought it'd be fun to brainstorm a bit about what the roster could be. I believe Smash 6 will be announced in 2027, either coming out in '27 or sometime in 2028. I think it'll be a soft reboot of the series, and will be building back up to another Ultimate in the span of at least 20-30 years. I think a Smash 6 in the Switch 2 era, and then a Smash 7 whenever in the next console generation (late 2030s), and then the console after THAT would be like Smash 8/Infinite. But let's focus on the present, like the roster! It'd be very different, and the base roster would definitely attract some controversy. So here goes!

First party reps:

  • Mario/DK/Yoshi/Wario universe: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Bowser Jr, Donkey Kong, King K. Rool, Yoshi, Wario, Waluigi. Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser would all have overhauled movesets. Daisy would be for Peach what Aelph is for Olimar, a costume slot.
  • Legend of Zelda: Link (TOTK), Zelda (BOTW/TOTK), Ganondorf (TOTK), Impa (taking some of Sheik's moves while also having AOC influence). Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf all are overhauled move-wise.
  • Metroid: Samus and Ridley. Samus would take some new moves from Dread and Prime 4. Dark Samus would be a costume.
  • Kirby: Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede
  • Pokemon: Pikachu, Mewtwo, Pokémon Trainer, Neo Pokémon Trainer (Greninja, Incineroar, and Meowscarada)
  • Retro Nintendo Properties: Fox, Ness, Captain Falcon, Mr. Game & Watch, R.O.B.
  • Fire Emblem: Marth and Byleth. Lucina would simply be a swappable costume.
  • Animal Crossing: Villager, Isabelle (both with new movesets).
  • Xenoblade: Shulk, Noah/Mio (as a Pyra/Mythra replacment, with of course their own distinct moves).
  • Modern Nintendo: Pit, Olimar, Inkling, Akira Howard, Ring Fit Trainee, Chorus Kids, Mii Fighters.

Third party reps:

  • Komani: Snake, Simon. Snake would get some moveset changes.
  • Sega: Sonic, Shadow, Bayonetta, Joker. Sonic would get a moveset overhaul.
  • Capcom: Mega Man, Ryu (+ Ken as an alt skin), Chun-Li, and Dante. Mega Man, Ryu, and Ken would get some changes.
  • Bandai: Pac-Man, Kazuya
  • Square Enix: Cloud, Sephiroth
  • Microsoft: Steve, Master Chief
  • Disney: Sora, and he would get a few changes to his moves, and would get a new KH4 skin.
  • NEW THIRD PARTY REP: Zagreus (Hades).

Some veterans would return as DLC like in Smash 4. Those would be:

  • Jigglypuff
  • Diddy Kong
  • Palutena
  • Robin
  • Banjo & Kazooie
  • Terry

Potential maybes that could slide in someone's place:

  • Ice Climbers
  • Lucario
  • Little Mac
  • Rosalina
  • Duck Hunt

My character DLC predictions: Toad, Ryu Hayabusa, Bandana Waddle Dee, Eshmel (Fire Emblem), Alucard, Rookie/Oatchi (Pikmin), Rayman, Hunter (Monster Hunter), Tails, Melinoe (Hades II), Doom Slayer
