Looking for a 1-month sublet or furnished room in Shillong

Hi everyone!
I’m looking for a furnished room or sublet in Shillong for about a month. I work remotely, so reliable Wi-Fi is important.

I’m happy with either:

  1. a private room in a shared flat, or
  2. a small studio/1RK with a kitchen.

My budget is flexible for the right place, and I’m looking for somewhere quiet and suitable for remote work. If anyone knows of a sublet or has any leads, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

Looking for a peaceful Northeast stay for June/July to work remotely (good network)

Hey everyone,

I’m planning to spend around 1–2 months somewhere in the Northeast starting June while working remotely. I already have a remote job for the next couple of months, so I’m mainly looking for a calm place where I can stay and work peacefully for a while.

I’ve previously spent quite a bit of time in Meghalaya and Mizoram and absolutely loved the vibe, people and food there, so this isn’t a random “touristy” trip for me. That’s why I’m thinking of coming back to the Northeast instead of going somewhere completely new.

My main concern is that June is peak monsoon season, so I wanted realistic suggestions from people who know the region well.

I’m mainly looking for:

  1. Places that have decent Wi-Fi/network and aren’t too remote, since I’ll be working daily.
  2. Areas that don’t get extremely affected by nonstop rain, leeches, landslides, power cuts etc during June.
  3. Budget-friendly homestays/monthly rentals where someone could comfortably stay for a month or so.

I’m completely okay with simple living. Food isn’t an issue at all for me. I genuinely enjoy Northeast food and culture and can also cook/manage on my own if needed.

I’m open to suggestions from people who’ve actually stayed long-term in the region.

Would really appreciate honest suggestions :)

Not sure if it’s just my feed, but I’ve been seeing K Formula everywhere in the last 2-3 weeks.

People talking about:

“peptides for hair” (??)

“molecular repair”

routines instead of single products

And specifically this brand K Formula calling itself:

India’s first peptide-powered haircare range

India’s first molecular repair haircare brand

At first I ignored it because anything that goes viral this fast usually = marketing.

But now I’m seeing the same pattern across comments:

- “wait till 3rd wash”
- “texture feels different”
- “frizz doesn’t come back the same way”

Which is… oddly specific.

So now I’m curious.

For people who’ve actually used peptide routines (not just one wash):

does your hair actually feel different or just smoother?

does frizz reduce long-term or just get delayed?

is there any real “fuller / thicker” effect people are talking about?

or is this just the latest buzzword cycle?

Feels like either:

genuinely new category

or very well-marketed trend

Trying to figure out which.
