how to get the latest version of fusion on tvOS

since the app has been taken off app store. i doubt that it will return. latest version of tvos seems to have better inbuild player support. thanks to dev. but cannot get it through app store.

Works on macOS but on windows
The Windows version doesn’t support wireless sideloading unfortunately. Only the Mac version does.

Another option is https://github.com/bitxeno/atvloadly but it’s Linux only. On windows, do it by installing Ubuntu alongside windows using a Virtual Machine and then use ATVLoadly

If you want the easiest way to get a crash course, ask ChatGPT or any LLM (maybe GLM5?) and it can teach you the basics.

There are other ways to side load as well if u need.

Keep in mind that unless you have a paid apple developer account, you'll have to refresh the sideloaded app every seven days versus once a year if you have a paid apple developer account ($100/ year).

What are the pros and cons of side loading. It’s not similar to jailbreaking I’ve read, but what’s the risk here, like would Apple ban my apple account?

Ans: As long as you’re sideloading trusted ipas, there really isn’t any risk I can think of but others can correct me. Apple will not ban your account for sideloading.

( No official GitHub for Fusion Because It technically isn’t allowed to publish the ipa while trying to get back on the App Store. Join discord )

The pros are allowing you to install any app that Apple will not allow within its walled garden. This includes cracked/alternate versions of apps. The cons are mainly getting yourself frustrated as you learn how to sideload as well as the need to automate/refesh the app. If you were to go the Xcode/diy route, it’s a lot more frustrating. But if you use sideloadly or any of the other options, you’ll find it is pretty simple.

There are also plenty of alternatives similar to Fusion available for Apple TV you can more easily get through TestFlight including but not limited to Prism, Strand, StreamUp.

Share ur Hero Widget settings

For me I have trending today with both movies and shows enabled. With rating above 8 with minimum 500 votes.

But the thing is, I don’t want animation content on there. I tried to exclude in keywords, excluded in genre. None of em worked.

cannnot see marketplace. spotify:app:marketplace in search shows nothing

  1. Make sure you ran the Marketplace install script
  2. Run spicetify apply to ensure changes are applied

Better to use Nuvio than Fusion?

Forgive my ignorance, only info i know:

The inbuilt player for fusion is fine unless you want Dolby Vision and Atmos. The only player that works on Apple TV for those features is Infuse Pro.

The new TestFlight build supports DV but No Atmos yet.

the dev is is able to offer this app with DV support for free becoz Ex teamed with Leon, the dev for Zappy to get this working. Kudos to Leon for this.

Some videos are washed out.

Why do some videos look way too low brightness and washed out. I’ve tried different files. Still the same. Only a few movies play in good colour.

How to fix this or is this a bug?

Update

I was forcing HDR all the time, which is likely why the washed-out picture appeared. I make it so it’s SDR by default and changes to HDR when needed. And now the picture looks better. Still no Dolby vision tho.

My settings:
Apple TV
Format: 4K SDR 60 Hz
Match Dynamic Range: On
Match Frame Rate: On
HDMI Output: YCbCr
Chroma: 4:4:4

Use bingecat for people that has Trakt which limited the number of auth.

For those still using Trakt without vip. You are limited to just one authentication. Bingecat has to be the only one you need to be connected to. I’ve heard that connecting to Nuvio does not count on the auth limitation. U don’t have to only use Bingecat. I recommend using xperience without Trakt connected alongside Bingecat which has Trakt connected. Bingecat has the best recommendation so far. The list you catalog has been working really good for me.

sponsorblock not working properly

  • most of the times it does not skip sponsor segments
  • the button that appear to skip other segments do not appear most of the time

open source productivity tracker that uses a camera.

is there an open source software that utilizes the camera to track when u sit down and work and stops the timer when you getup.

and shows a total time focused per day.

i used YPT - YeolPumTa before. but found it hard to always start and stop the timer before you focus. maybe i should go back to just using it. idk. this could work much better, it automatically calculates the time.

support for gifs in collection cover

first of all, fusion is amazing. thank you so much dev.

this is not really a big issue but would be nice to have.

currently fusion only supports mp4 for collection covers. it would be good if it works with gifs as well.

again, thank you for this amazing app. it works great.

EDIT: also in settings -> widgets -> Restore Starter Widgets
is not user friendly. if anyone accidently clicks on it, it does not show a warning dialog, and straight up resets their entire widget layout.

Badges for Fusion

First of all, Thank you dev for starting to support fusion as well. Xperience is the best addon for metadata right now.

just some things i noticed is that some badges do no import in fusion.

For example: Kingsize Solid by kingsizew
when importing it to Fusion it shows the following error
Invalid JSON format: The data couldn't be read because it is missing.

another thing is the collection covers do not animate in Fusion.
i think it only allows mp4 not gifs.
maybe its better if fusion dev can add support for gif as well.
so this could soon be fixed automatically.

i know Xperience was build to support Nuvio only. so if this is asking too much, sorry. Xperience already is the best addon and thank you for that :)

torbox privacy policies

most poeple like me doesn't use a vpn while using nuvio.

debrid service itself does know what you're accessing. Their privacy policies dictate how long they retain logs of your downloads and activity. If copyright holders obtain a legal order, they could potentially force the debrid service to hand over user logs linked to an IP address.

unlike Real-Debrid, torbox is relatively new as well. are they reputable?
