I have to get alterations and hemming done on a satin dress for a wedding (top is too big) and I was wondering if anyone had any affordable recommendations? I’m also looking to potentially add in a built in bra, though I’m not sure this is possible considering the style of the dress.

My sister and I are planning to plan a trip to PEI first week of May and are deciding whether this is feasible/what we should do. We’re both under 25 so renting a car is not apart of the plan. We both like hiking and nature. My sister is a big Anne of Green Gables fan as well. I know that a lot won’t be open for the season yet but do you think this is still a good time to go? My dad wants us to go later but I’m planning on taking summer classes which start second week of May. Thanks!
Please help me. I’ve tried locking myself out of my phone, I’ve done timers, I’ve done walking breaks, I’ve done location changes. And every semester I have the same issue where I get overwhelmed and just shut down. It’s not like I’m doomscrolling on my phone. I’m talking full on staring at a wall or blank documents for hours on end. I can only ever seem to snap out of it when the clock is basically run out. But I don’t want to do that anymore because I know my grades don’t reflect my full potential. So give me all the weird study hacks and brain tricks. I beg
Does anyone know a good place to get a cheap oil change in South Surrey? One where they won’t try and convince me to get 50 other things done?
I’ve had a bad experience in the past where they did a full service despite the booking literally being for an oil change so I’m a bit wary now.
I wanted to try changing it myself before I realized that I’d have to lift my car to get underneath it and I don’t trust myself to not get crushed.

Hey! My sister is thinking of transferring to SFU to major in GES and I was wondering what other people think of the major? I’m in Crim and Psyc so I’m not much help.
She’d come from KPU (who’ve happened to cut just about all of their Environmental classes) and a few of her classes transfer over already. She’s planning on emailing an SFU advisor about transferring and whether or not there are any specific classes she should take before applying.
She doesn’t have the strongest science background (but she’s been on Deans List consistently) so I’m wondering how science heavy it is?

What’s the best book to read on the beach? Last summer I devoured Malibu Rising in one sitting (got a nasty sunburn because I was so into it that I didn’t notice I was becoming a lobster) and I want another book that sucks me in and makes me forget the world
What is the best book you’ve read at the beach? My favourites have been more gossipy books (like Malibu Rising) and oddly enough memoirs. Last summer I read The House of My Mother, From Here to the Great Unknown, and Always Pack a Candle while laying on a dock. Also, weirdly I seem to like reading dinosaur books at the beach.
How dumb of an idea is this? It’s an intersession course. The appointment is at 7:45am and the midterms at 2:30. I could try to rebook but my dad’s insurance is out at the end of the month so I want to get in sooner than later. I’m going to try emailing the prof as well and see if there’s some way to work around it but I don’t like my chances. Any thoughts? Advice? Exams make up 93% of my grade in this course fyi

I’ve got a concert tomorrow night at the Orpheum and I’ll be going directly from school. Does anyone know what the largest size a bag can be before it has to get checked? Mines large enough to fit a 13 inch laptop so it’s about 14 inches long. I know they have bag check but I’m not entirely comfortable with just handing basically all of my work over to a stranger. Also, how much even is bag check? The website isn’t as specific as I would like regarding bags.
I really want to get a purse for school. I’m nearing the end of my degree and want to find a bag large enough to hold my laptop/ipad/water bottle. I want to find something that’s relaxed but still kinda fancy. Any recommendations?
