Fred had a good day 🐶

We are finding good spots to bring him rather than the main village that we would usually go through. Or sometimes decompression walks in a quiet estate. It’s what works for us now while he’s maturing as his barking “hello” enthusiastically to other dogs can be off putting to humans . He just got neutered a couple weeks ago 🦋 he was happy out today 🙂

💭 Let’s Talk About the Newborn Bubble! Tips for Soaking it in - weekly thread

Hi everyone! 💕

Whether you’re counting down the days to baby’s arrival or already holding your little one in your arms, let’s chat about the newborn bubble—those precious first days and weeks with your baby.

Here are some questions to get the conversation started:

👶 For those who’ve been through it: • What helped you slow down and enjoy that magical (but chaotic!) time? • Any tips for dealing with visitors and protecting your family time? • What’s something you wish you had done differently in those early weeks?

🤰 For those getting close to the big day: • How are you planning to soak in those newborn snuggles? • What boundaries are you setting to enjoy that bubble without stress? • Are there little rituals or moments you’re looking forward to, like first cuddles or baby’s first bath?

Let’s share advice and stories to help each other embrace the beauty (and the madness!) of the newborn phase. 💖

📢 New Community Rule: No Public WhatsApp Group Links

Hi everyone,

We’ve added a new rule to help keep the community safe and protect everyone’s privacy.

From now on, public WhatsApp (and similar private group) invite links are not allowed in posts or comments.

This is because WhatsApp groups require sharing phone numbers, which can expose members to privacy risks, unwanted contact, or spam. As this is a support space for pregnancy in Ireland, we want to make sure everyone feels safe sharing and participating here.

If you’d like to continue conversations off Reddit, platforms like Discord can be a safer alternative as they don’t require sharing phone numbers.

Thanks for understanding and helping keep this community safe and supportive 🤍

“ Daddy’s girl” comments

Anyone else get extremely irritated when their baby daddy is holding child and immediately they get comments like “she’s only got eyes for her daddy”
“Oh she’s a daddy’s girl”

This happens a lot when we visit / meet up with my partners side (his father and step mother)

It infuriates me- granted I have a very rocky relationship with my own mother so I could be projecting lol but I just don’t think it’s good to say to a mom.

No one has ever said “my god she just loves you” or “wow she’s such a Mammy’s girl! “

Anyone else get that? What’s a dignified response ? 😂 I’m about to crack up.

Usually I just smile politely and blink.

11 month old Fred

Took this shot cos he just looked adorable. His balls have just dropped and so he’s going through it atm. He’s a bit more hype than usual. He’s getting neutered in June! I’m wondering if it’ll change his behavior much 🤔
If anyone has experience 🤔

The amount of times we thought we made the wrong decision taking him in when we have a toddler. But yeah! We’re doing it!

One of the things he’s doing is jumping up on people and getting hype AF when we have visitors , does anyone else have this?

Anyway we love Fred, kind of a vent but also just wanted to say hi 👋

Botox and hooded eyes

Hiii, wondering if many ppl with hooded eyes have gotten Botox in their forehead? Was advised by injector that if I got it done , my face would look very heavy , like that the look would be too heavy, hard to explain. Wondering if anyone else has gotten it done in this situation?
