did the game devs just copy-paste real geography into the game?

Saw a fellow travel Hexi

did the devs just copy-paste real geography into the game? Or is the entire game just a really elaborate travel ad?

Either way, I'm adding Hexi to my bucket list.

Among them, Hangzhou — the first sub‑region — will, once fully opened, be comparable in size to the entire Kaifeng region.“

Where there is hardship, there is Nuo. When the Nuo dance begins, all illnesses fade. May the world be blessed with peace, prosperity, and good weather for all.

Nuo (傩戏) is an ancient Chinese year-end ritual performed to ward off evil and disease. By the Song Dynasty, the grand Nuo ceremonies held within the Imperial Palace had become spectacular, awe-inspiring events.

In the upcoming quest: Grand Nuo Ritual, you will step up as the Ritual Officiant of this year-end ceremony to pay tribute to the departed and pray for the living.

The palace decoration is incredibly detailed.

Walking through the palace feels like stepping inside a classical scroll. Everything is arranged with such care — the light, the shadows, the colors. Every hallway has its own mood. Some feel grand and ceremonial, others quiet and intimate. The red pillars stand tall against dark wooden beams, and the lanterns glow softly. There's a sense of history in every corner, like you're walking through a place that has witnessed centuries of court life. feels alive.

As the devs said, The imperial palace spans one million square meters — roughly the same size as the city of Kaifeng itself.

This location in Qin Chuan is pure magic (can find it on page3). I stood there for 10 minutes just watching all the fireflies light up the sky, it felt like stepping into a painting.
