the reasoning behind the cancellation of those anticipated fun projects:
Universal Studios Dubailand was a proposed Universal Studios theme park in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Originally planned to be built within Dubailand, a future entertainment mega-complex, the project broke ground in July 2008 but stalled a short time later.!! On October 27, 2016, officials announced the permanent cancellation of the project.
Universal Studios Dubailand was a joint venture costing over 8 billion dirhams ($2.2 billion US) between Universal Studios and Tatweer, a subsidiary of Dubai Holdings. The theme park was announced in April 2007 with a theme park plan that expected to attract 5 million visitors annually and was scheduled to be completed in 2010.
The project broke ground on July 27, 2008 due to the financial crisis that affected the market all over the world pushing back the opening from 2010 to 2012.
However, no construction work on the project site had been reported since early
2009. By mid-2012, the only public evidence of the project was a gate bearing the Universal Studios logo.
In my opinion, I don’t think those projects would have worked considering the fact how hot weather can be for the themes park to be enjoyable by families and friends.

Yes, Dubai is convenient and safe, but convenience doesn't erase the feeling that you're temporary.
You can spend your whole life here and still feel like a guest.
So when someone says "you have everything, stop complaining," it can feel unfair or oversimplified.
There's also a difference between appreciating opportunities and accepting unhealthy standards.
For example, praising people for working endlessly or being available at 1 a.m. is not automatically a healthy benchmark for life. Without those migrant workers, you wouldn’t get kfc nor McDonald or grocery delivered in ur doorstep. If they don’t exist you will think “ convenience is zero” you are in fact lazy asf.
In Gulf countries especially, conversations about privilege, class, expatriate life, and labor can become emotionally charged because people's experiences are extremely different depending on nationality, income, and family background.
I have been living in UAE for many years and i absolutely love it but let's not live in a sheltered life And think outside the box.
I can’t believe this family still has fans, I assume they don’t have personality just like them.
