Some stupid-easy beginner classical guitar songs to learn

So I have a classical guitar from a family member but I've really been using it just to play acoustic songs, I want to try to teach myself a little classical technique but I'm not sure where to start. The most motivating songs for me are popular songs I know, but I don't know if there's a ton that are suitable for beginner classical guitarists. I can read music and play two instruments in treble clef so I'd like some song recs that I can learn by looking at the sheet music, along with a video tutorial if possible. Preferably one that's a pretty popular song but anything will do. Just something to get me started. Thanks <3

Starting at NYU in 3 weeks and getting cold feet

I’m gonna be starting my freshman year at nyu this fall and the more I think about it the more I’m starting to get cold feet, not to the point that I’m like I don’t wanna go but more like I’m plotting an escape plan if it goes badly and I need to transfer. My dream rn is to work in production design and I’m in the program for that and ik nyu is one of the best places to be for getting into that field but part of me is also like maybe I should just bite the bullet and work towards a more traditional job. I’ve said my backup career is museum curator but if I end up wanting to do that instead then there’s no reason for me to stay at nyu if I don’t like it bc I feel like that’s one of those things that you can get a really good education in at a ton of other schools and it’s less location focused. Plus I’d need at least a masters for that.

But my main concern rn is that nyu might not end up being the best place for me. It’s probably the no campus thing I’m worried about, nyc is such a busy and stressful environment I feel like that’s not gonna be good for my mental health. And plus if I end up liking nyu as a production design student but not feeling like I can set down roots and have a family in nyc then is it even worth it to spend years making connections in nyc bc I don’t wanna feel like I’m stuck there.

Right now my game plan is to at least ride out the semester and keep my grades high enough so that if I end up wanting to transfer then it’s more possible. I guess I’m just looking for advice on what to do in this situation, even tho there’s not much I can do besides go to nyu for at least a semester and see how it goes. It kinda sucks too bc nyc has always been my dream but I’m just now starting to feel like it might not be the place for me to live, work, and raise a family for the rest of my life. And if I end up craving a campus experience then would it be worth it to spend it where I know I’d never get that? Because even if I do end up going to grad school that’s obv not the same as undergrad. It just feels like I might be missing out on a big part of my college experience by going to nyu and not having a campus.

This is all hypothetical tho bc I’m 100% going to be spending at least a semester there. I’m just looking for some guidance here to help ease my mind, or maybe if anyone has had this experience maybe you can lmk what the no campus thing was like for you and if it might be worth it for me to at least think about transferring at this point.

What did you like about Fate?

I'm reminiscing. Can you tell me what you liked about Fate and storylines you wish followed through into season 3 had it not been cancelled? Personally I really wanted to see Riven and Musa's relationship develop bc I feel like they never really got a healthy relationship in the original 2D show, like they were SO CUTE in the live action show. I also wish we got to explore Musa's inner world more. (please note I haven't read the graphic novels yet but I will get on that so please don't spoil any of them!!)

Meal recs that aren’t pasta

So I fear one of the only things I like eating is pasta bc it’s just easy to cook a box and of pasta and there’s many variations but I’m trying to eat more vegetables. Does anyone have a meal recs that has a healthy dose of veggies but they taste good? Or honestly anything that someone with the taste palette of a child would like and is easy and quick to cook but has enough vegetables or protein

Best way to learn Tagalog?

Diaspora Filipinos who have successfully taught themselves tagalog, what was the resource that you found most helpful for learning quickly? I've tried Mango, listening to Tagalog-teaching podcasts, but they feel too unstructured. At a base level I want to be able to understand Tagalog, my dream is to be able to speak it back and forth with native speakers because I'm trying to go to the Philippines to visit family in like a year and I don't wanna be the super out-of touch American ate. I've been a Spanish student for years and the hardest part is understanding rather than speaking for me, so for Tagalog I'm thinking about watching movies I know on Netflix in Tagalog to familiarize myself with understanding.

But beyond that, what's the most helpful resource? Preferably one that I can get for free <3

Help me not culturally appropriate <3

For context I'm half Filipina, I don't think I really present as full Filipino but definitely mixed, maybe also racially ambiguous depending on who you ask I guess. It's super early for this but I'm thinking about what I'm gonna be for Halloween this year and I'm leaning towards a Disney princess. I wanna get other opinions on whether or not it would be problematic if I dressed as Mulan, Jasmine, or Moana. I just thought of these because they're the ones I probably wouldn't need a wig for, but mostly because I've felt very seen in all three of them. The thing is I'm not Polynesian, Chinese, or South Asian, and I feel like for all of them their culture is a really important part of their stories and I don't want to be one of those people that ignorantly puts on a costume that doesn't belong to their culture just to look cute for a night. But then again as a Filipina there's not really any other Disney princesses that I feel super seen by or connected to, besides Raya but honestly I'm not a huge fan of the movie and it might be a little too niche for people to get.

Idk just trying to get other peoples' thoughts on this. Would it come across as weird if I dressed up as any of these princesses whose cultures is so important to their stories as a mixed Southeast Asian person? If you saw me as someone who suspiciously doesn't look like she's the race of the character she's dressed as and you didn't have the whole context of this entire post, would you be like oh she's so ignorant and problematic? Also does anyone else relate to this struggle?

Marinette what ru doing

I was actually so pissed when Marinette was acting like the only way to be truthful to Adrien is for her to tell him the truth AS MARINETTE. Disclaimer I haven't watched anything further than the end of Sadnansi when Marinette goes to tell Adrien the truth but doesn't and they end up hugging so please don't spoil anything past that but genuinely why doesn't she just transform into Ladybug and tell him??

It makes no sense if Marinette tells him because how would Marinette know all this stuff when Ladybug is the only person who knows what actually happens. If Ladybug told Adrien what actually happened then Marinette could just pretend she went along with whatever Ladybug said which ik is also lying but there's no way to not lie AND protect her secret identity at the same time. The rest of the world doesn't even have to know!! They can keep believing that Gabriel was a hero while Adrien and Marinette know the truth and Adrien's life doesn't have to be ruined!!

Adrien in new animation

Does anyone else not have any problem with the new animation except for that they made Adrien/Cat Noir look like babies, like ik he's supposed to be like 15 but he looks SO young. Also Cat Noir's side part took me out, I think that what made Cat Noir look cooler than Adrien (imo) is that Adrien had a side part and Cat Noir had a middle part, now they both have a side part and it's really tragic

GPA difficulty

On a scale from 1-10 with 1 being I could do it in my sleep and 10 being impossible, how difficult is it to maintain a pretty high GPA (like of 3.6 or higher)? I've had a relatively okay time maintaining a 3.8-3.9 before college (reasonably difficult but not hellish) and I don't want my grades to absolutely tank at NYU
