The more time passes the more I think Duren will end up in Sacramento in a complicated S&T.

but for a rebuilding team, I just don't know how you justify giving up multiple picks. A duo of Acuff and Duren would be a nice start, but we're going to need multiple good young players to build out the roster. We can't do that without draft picks. What's the plan if we trade away 3 or more picks? we're doomed to barely be a play in team forever.

Pistons don't want to pay Jalen Duren.

They wanted Zach Lavine before. why not just swap? Jalen would be a great piece to build a team besides Acuff

We need to start really hyping up Flemings before the draft tonight so we're stoked when we draft him

Can't say Kingston without KINGS!

[Jeremy Woo]: Sources say the Clippers have interest in Darius Acuff Jr., but his fit with a similar-sized guard in Garland is an obstacle.

there's a chance the clippers swing on Mara and the Nets swing on Ament

then we're left to pick between all of the point guards. we still feeling Acuff if they're all on the board??

feeling at my wits end with my kids at the Catholic church.

My wife and I, late thirties, began OCIA in February. We bring our two children, 10 and 2 years old. We began going to mass November of 2025. There are many things I love about the Catholic Church, and I can't imagine going back to a protestant church, but the complete lack of child care or support for parents has gotten to us. it's been a slow and steady erosion of all inspiration to keep going.

We can't get our toddler through even a few minutes or mass without hysterics. We can't get him to behave well enough even in the narthex so we spend a lot of mass outside the church Our ten year old has been problematic as well. And then we have two hours of OCIA after mass. It's a nightmare to manage. We can't afford to hire babysitters every Sunday so we can go to church alone. And I feel that we are just becoming a nuisance for everyone else in OCIA. My kids genuinely behaved great at protestant churches. They loved the children's programs and my ten year old even sat well through regular service.

and on top of that, our Deacon won't get back to me about finishing up annulment paperwork for a previous civil marriage so it's becoming less likely we can even be confirmed by next Easter at this point.

I'm just stressed right now and venting I suppose. But I'm not sure if we are going to see this through. we have no family close by. We don't know any other Catholics. It's just been incredibly hard.

r/NBA_Draft asked me to scout Darius Acuff's defense. I watched EVERY play for two full games, and...it really is that bad. Is there any hope? I want to hear what you think...

Reminder - I'm making all these videos on Grinding Tape, which I created to let anyone watch tape and make scouting videos exactly like this one super easily. It's got every prospect and it's free, no ads, no registration. Give it a try.

I asked this sub who they'd like me to scout next, and the top answer was Darius Acuff (and Brayden Burries, who I'm doing next), with a focus on his defense. So I watched him defend for every single play in two games: against Tennessee and against a really dynamic Arizona team. You can see the results above: I noted 24 (!!!) poor possessions on defense, ranging from questionable to outright embarrassing.

To put it bluntly: this is some of the worst defense I've ever seen from a top prospect. Acuff is uninterested, lackadaisical, and fundamentally a mess. He gets roasted on the ball, loses his man off the ball, doesn't get back in transition, and doesn't offer help.

It's so bad that I actually wonder: is Acuff just mailing it in to try and avoid injury? Some people are concerned about him physically, but I don't think that's an issue at all. He's built like a tank and moves laterally just fine. And it's obvious from his offensive play that he has an amazing feel for the game. This is someone who could play defense. He just isn't trying.

I'm curious what you all think: from a draft perspective, does that make it better or worse? On one hand, you can imagine an NBA team getting him to buy in and get to least passable on that end. On the other hand, defense is mostly about effort and competitive spirit. If he can't be bothered in the run-up to the draft, why should we believe he's going to put in the work in the NBA, where he'll be matched up with much tougher competition?

Would love to get your takes. I have Acuff as a top-3 offensive prospect in this draft, but I really just don't know what to make of this defense.

I absolutely don't believe Acuff will fall to 7.

give me your reasoning for why anyone would take Wagler, Flemings, MBJ before Acuff? I'm just not seeing it. the defense argument is going to be null and void come draft day. GMs want upside that high in the draft. Acuff is the ultimate upside. I think we will have to trade up to the fifth pick minimum to get Acuff.

$SEGG and Polymarket about to do the impossible?

If you're following this story and reading the tea leaves you can see a master plan unfolding.

Recently $SEGG announced that they've partnered with Polymarket. Polymarket for the first time ever is doing a partnership and platform integration with another company. This company is SEGG. SEGG, formerly lottery.com, is now under a new interem CEO as of last December. They have the domain name to sports.com.

They will be launching this sports predictive market platform together in the next couple of weeks just in time to promote for the world cup which is the perfect storm to unleash this new product to the world.

I don't know if you're playing attention to regular sports betting companies but they're getting crushed by reduced margins and slow growth as predictive markets continue to get preferential treatment by the government. almost every big player like $DKNG and $FLUT are down huge on the year because people have moved to polymarket and Kalshi.

SEGG teaming up with polymarket to create sports.com is HUGE. people don't only prefer predictive market interference, they also have less hurdles to go through to trade on these platforms.

a door is legitimately opening up here for polymarket and SEGG to become the global leaders in sports betting through this new platform if the perfect storm of marketing and engagement happens during the world cup. and even if they don't overtake the old giants, they can at least carve out a very lucrative niche.

SEGG currently has a marketcap of 17 million or so. SEGG announced they would share fees from the platform with Polymarket, but the official fee split structure hasn't been announced yet. Even if SEGG takes a small cut, any level of real success for the platform should be a huge catalyst for the company.

Eventually this could end up as a polymarket buyout even, though I'd prefer they stay separate companies for continued upside.

by luck I bought some shares under a dollar today right at open today, but I am going to be adding more tomorrow at any price.

this is not financial advice but I'm stoked on the potential.
