Need Advice: Should I stay sa local company or look for an MNC?

Hi! Need lang sana ng advice.

I’m 24 and this is my first job. I am a Management Trainee (MT) sa isang local FMCG company, 10 months in the company.

So far, okay naman yung career progression ko. Since MT ako, nabigyan agad ako ng malaking responsibilities. I’ve handled multi-million peso projects, na-expose sa supply chain, manufacturing, project management, and capital investment projects. I also report directly to C-suite executives, and na-promote na rin yung job grade ko in less than a year. I now earn 42k/month take home pay (which I think is still low btw compared to my responsibilities)

The thing is, sobrang konti ng mentorship. Most of the time, binibigay lang yung project then bahala na akong mag-figure out. I don’t mind self-studying and I actually enjoy the ownership and the upper management trusts me enough to let me handle it and even decide sa big decisions. Pero lately napapaisip ako if tama ba talaga yung approach ko or if aligned ba yung ginagawa namin sa industry best practices.

Since local company siya, marami akong processes na ginagawa from scratch. Natatakot lang ako na baka I’m missing out on learning how things are done in bigger companies with more established systems and experienced mentors. Baka masanay ako sa way of working namin tapos paglipat ko sa MNC, iba pala talaga ang standard which is very different naman talaga. Just afraid, I will learn the bad habits kasi it’s my first job.

I’m not unhappy with my job, and hindi rin naman ako magre-resign nang walang lilipatan. Napapaisip lang ako if this is the right time to start exploring opportunities outside.

Pros and Cons of staying:
✅ High ownership and autonomy
✅ High-impact projects
✅ Direct exposure to C-suite
✅ Fast promotions and visibility since MT
✅ Opportunity to build systems from scratch
❌ Very little mentorship
❌ Non-standard practices
❌ Self study lahat ng learnings with no guidance

Sa mga naka-work na sa both local companies and MNCs:

  1. Valid ba yung concern ko or am I overthinking it?
  2. Mas valuable ba yung ownership kahit little to no mentorship, or mas importante yung structured learning early in your career?
  3. If you were in my position, would you stay for another year or start applying na?

How to join Tennis Clubs?

hello i am new to tennis (4 sessions pa lang with coach), i plan to push thru with tennis lessons and im looking for a community / club to join sana

i know there are clubs pero i am not really aware of the requirements to join one and it seems very exclusive? i can’t find tennis clubs na are willingly telling people to join them. is this normal in ph tennis clubs? if yes, why?
