R.I.P. Legend

This is a collection of ATS screenshots, all containing Kyle Busch's NASCAR hauler. All are AI traffic.

This post is dedicated to 2015 and 2019 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Busch, who sadly passed away on May 21st, 2026. He was only 41.

Kyle was one of the great drivers of the sport. 234 wins across all three major series. He even got #234 last Friday in Dover. To think that just on May 18th, he was celebrating his son Brexton's 11th birthday, he looked so happy and full of life. It's honestly such a shame that he's gone now, coming from a fan. I bet he's leading the pack up in heaven.

May he be remembered by all.

“You never know when your last one is.” -Kyle Busch, Dover, Delaware, 5/15/2026.

Burnouts for Kyle + A text by a fan.

I put out a post earlier today that was two NR2003 screenshots of Kyle Busch leading Greg Biffle and Michael Annett at Charlotte.

I decided that wasn't enough. I decided to do burnouts with his 2015 Homestead car, the one he won his first Championship with.

I feel sorry for Brexton, he has to go through losing a father, a mentor, a coach and a friend. I feel sorry for Samantha, I feel sorry for Kyle's friends, his brother, and most importantly, I feel sorry for his loyal fans, both long-term fans and Childress-era fans. I never personally met Kyle Busch, but I got to see him race twice: Both the 2024 and 2026 Daytona 500s.

I'll admit it: I used to hate Kyle. Back in my early years of being a NASCAR fan, I used to absolutely hate Kyle Busch. I just didn't like how he raced, plus I was a young kid, about 7 or 8. I knew a diehard Kyle Busch fan, my Uncle Donnie. Donnie always rooted for Kyle. I always rooted against Kyle. Sometime in the 2020s, could've been when Kyle switched to RCR, I quit my hating ways and started to actually like Kyle Busch. In 2024, through 2025 and into 2026, I was rooting for Kyle to get another Cup win. He came very close several times. However, he never got that elusive victory. And now, he's gone. Kyle's death was just so out of nowhere and so sudden, I couldn't process it properly.

When I left Daytona Beach on that February Sunday night this year, I thought to myself, There's always next year.

I held back tears for about a day. Now, I'm crying. And that's okay. Nothing wrong with a fan crying over his driver's death. I had been rooting for Kyle since 2023-2024, and I wanted to see him get at least a Daytona 500 before he retired. He said he planned to retire from Cup when Brexton turned 15. As I've said earlier in this post, I feel sorry for Brexton Busch. He doesn't deserve this.

Every hour, I just wish to myself that I can wake up from this sick nightmare. But, sadly, it's not a nightmare. And I have to sadly deal with that fact.

It's going to be weird seeing no Kyle Busch on Sunday.

If I kept hating Kyle, I still wouldn't want this.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry for rambling on. I'm sorry for pouring my feelings out into text form.
