Between reprinting a sold out specialty product, and introducing 24/hr print to demand, it is becoming clear that secondary market demand is at an all time low.
Resellers are offloading the product on eBay and TCGplayer for around $200, essentially breaking even.
When I first saw this card in the shadows over baldurs gate secret lair, I honestly thought it was going to be coming out around $30+ but it's stayed in the mid $6's and now is low $7's.
Is gooner-focused investing only viable as long term holds, and is it on all gooner-related material, or only anime girls to draw in the one-piece crowd?
Honestly looking at the price charting, it's jumped around 18% in a few months. Not terrible, but not the explosive growth I had expected. I mean come on it's the shadowheart romance scene on a card.
I figured Reddit is the best place to ask this kind of thing.

Please spread the word so that people don’t buy these. Trust me you don’t want any of the cards in Zeta. All garbage, terrible art, no reprint value. Pretty much a full small set. Probably has some ethical reasons about them not selling to local scalp- I mean game stores or whatever, or I guess we like that secret lair normally only sells packs of 5 guaranteed cards now?
Who cares if it’s legal card backs has chrome moxes, buckets of staples, and references the original sets and play test cards, trust me you don’t want to gamble on what are essentially $20 collector booster exclusive packs.

I’ve seen several people reference that we already know the foil promo, but I haven’t found anywhere directly stating it will be the same promo card as the normal bundle.
His complaining about the strixhaven codex bundles let me buy basically as many as i wanted at MSRP! I would love for him to tell people not to buy the hobbit collector products so I can buy them out as well 🥹

With the upcoming Cat Superdrop, ongoing delays to main-set MTG products, and the delays affecting the Back to School drop, a lot of players have started asking: “Will the Cat Superdrop get delayed too?”
Unfortunately, it feels pretty likely.
It’s never a great feeling to pay upfront for a product with a stated release date, only to watch that date get pushed back weeks or even months. Heck, I still haven’t received a shipping confirmation for Back to School. Jumpstart and other satellite products for main set releases like marvel superheroes is rampant delays, so it’s not even limited to secret lairs.
It also seems like Wizards has been printing larger quantities of recent Superdrops, which also likely means this won’t be selling out anytime soon.
At this point, it might be worth considering waiting a month or so after release to buy. By then, you’ll have a much better idea of actual shipping timelines will be.
