Recs for Obsessions

Apologies if this is not allowed, but I am interested in what are some other things (works of art, musicals, history, folklore, tv shows, movies, etc.) that POTO fans are obsessed with? I am looking for something else to dive into like I’ve done with POTO! I’ve seen a lot of people on other corners of the internet love Hannibal so I might give that a try!
For me personally I’ve been obsessed with the Titanic my entire life. Oh! And Supernatural! I also love Les Miserables.

Does the fridge matter instead of the freezer?

I’m baking a chocolate cake (https://chelsweets.com/death-by-chocolate-cake/) for two days from now and was planning on making the cake itself today, putting it in the fridge and then icing and decorating it tomorrow. I just now realized that it says put in freezer to chill instead of fridge and I have literally no room in my freezer (it’s one of those pull out ones). Can I put the cakes (two 9” pans) in the fridge until tomorrow instead? TIA

Lacking Motivation

Obviously, I know this is something a lot of us can relate to, but no doctor is actually trying to manage this. I have had no motivation to do anything I love for a while now, and yes I’m sure some of it is the mental aspects of being chronically ill, but also the physical aspects and fatigue and just overall not wanting to try to do anything because I just assume I won’t feel well/be able to do it or my ‘baseline’ already being a healthy person’s ‘sick.’ But what has actually worked for everyone to give them motivation back? I know every chronic illness is different, but I still want to hear anyone’s success stories! I am on antidepressants already and my anti seizure meds are helping a lot with my mental state, so I feel the best in that aspect that I have in a long time! It just sucks that my body doesn’t feel caught up or where I would like it to be. I also requested my vitamin B12 and iron levels to be tested about a month ago, and they did come back low, so since I’ve been taking those pills I have been feeling a slight improvement I think.
Again, what else have people done? I know everyone says to just do it first and motivation will follow, so like getting outside and going for a walk even if you don’t want to, but that doesn’t really work for me, as I feel like I’m constantly second guessing how I actually feel, expecting the worst, or just feel like the risks outweigh the rewards, but I really want and need to be better.

Gothic Recommendations

Hi! I have always had a pull towards the classic gothic style, and recently have been interested in the idea of writing something of my own inspired by these works! I am most interested in gothic romance, but want to gain a deeper understanding of anything gothic! What are some recommendations (specifically classics, but others are welcome as well) for me to explore, get inspiration, and maybe even reference? Thank you <33

Keppra and repressed memories

I can’t really find any info for this online and I have googled it, but I swear every time I go up on my Keppra dosage, I start spiraling that something terrible happened to me when I was younger and it’s definitely unhealthy. I just can’t stop obsessing about it, and my mind does often go to one specific person who was around me when I was younger (but I don’t think of any specific memories). I feel like I’m going crazy every single time, and after a few weeks it will go away, but during this I can’t sleep or stop thinking about it and obsessively digging through things like social media to try and find either proof or something to dispute what I’m feeling. I don’t know if this is like scientifically backed or if I just want attention or if this is the way Keppra anxiety is exhibiting itself in me, but I’m wondering if anyone has any thoughts or experience with this specifically!

Why can I only stay awake for 2 1/2 hours at the most?

Why can I only stay awake for 2 1/2 hours at the most? I am on a few meds that I need to function that have fatigue as a symptom, but how am I supposed to live like this? I take multiple naps a day (taking my first one now at 9 AM). I am 19F. How will I ever be able to work like this? I am so tired like I cannot keep my eyes open.

Less Anxiety on Keppra

Has anyone else experienced an extreme decrease in their anxiety after starting Keppra? I have been an extremely anxious person since probably 2020 and I have even tried various SSRIs specifically to treat it. Like I was constantly in a fight or flight mode, and stressed about things that made me anxious for weeks before hand. I started a new SSRI last year and am still on a relatively low dose and remember thinking I wanted to go up if possible because it didn’t feel like it was doing much for me yet. Then, I started Keppra and I really don’t feel anxious at all which is so weird for me. I am able to leave the house, even if I still don’t necessarily want to, I can force myself now to because I’m not anxious about it. Everyone I talk to about this is so confused because it seems like Keppra has a history of doing the opposite. I don’t know if this is like a placebo effect or what, but actually not being anxious for the first time in so long is making me on edge. Interested in any thoughts!!
Edit: I am currently on 500mg twice a day and have been for around two months now!

What does Nick Fuentes actually believe? He seems like he is just trying to rage bait, but there are otherwise seemingly good men I know sharing his posts? Do they think it’s ridiculous as well? What is the drive they have to support him??

Does anyone have any advice for physically writing with tremors? Writing is one of the things I’ve always loved to do, but now am afraid of due to my tremors. Not only is my handwriting barely legible, but it’s also physically uncomfortable and painful for me. Did anyone find any tips or tricks to help this? And before it’s recommended, I am too stubborn to just write in my notes app! It is not the same!

Hi guys, for some context I am 19F and had a 48 hr EEG come back abnormal for heightened risk of focal seizures in January. I have yet to have another appointment with my neurologist because of the wait time, but he did start me on Keppra 500 MG twice a day. The findings were nonepileptic though and personally I don’t really believe I have epilepsy, but don’t know who else will maybe have some insight. Last year, after having COVID and norovirus back to back around Christmas 2024, I had some ongoing nausea that was preventing me from going back to school. They were prescribing me Zofran and when that didn’t work, they moved onto Reglan but told me to stop taking my Lexapro in case of Serotonin syndrome, so I completely stopped my lexapro after being on it for maybe 2 years for around a week and a half when I ended up in the ER because I was having panic attacks. That is where they told me I should’ve never stopped cold turkey, etc.. I stopped taking the nausea meds and started my lexapro again but then I started having weird episodes that were similar to panic attacks, but I couldn’t think, talk, move, I could only stare. In one case, my mom dragged me to the shower to spray freezing water on me to get me to respond, and I just sat there unable to do anything. After this, I would always sob uncontrollably and be extremely tired, but my psychiatrist diagnosed me with a depressive episode (through teleheath appt. because I started being so afraid to leave my house in fear of this happening in public) No one ever mentioned seizures to me until I missed the entire second half of my senior year (this was apparently due to anxiety but it never felt right to me because I felt like I was having my normal panic attacks and then those extreme ones).

In October 2025, I met with an adult neurologist for the first time who raised concerns about possible myoclonic seizures after I told him while I brush my teeth, my hand jerks the toothbrush out of my mouth and across my cheek or I drop it completely. He also mentioned focal seizures because I thought seizures could only be unconscious. Now, especially after my abnormal EEG, I do wonder if I have been having focal seizures (I am kind of operating under the assumption that I was). I didn’t have any episodes during the EEG though, so there wasn’t a definitive answer. I used to have some staring episode like every day, but since starting Keppra 2x I am only having like one a week. I don’t know for sure they are focal seizures though, so that’s where I want advice. How do you know if they are focal seizures? I feel like I’ve already diagnosed myself and that will raise alarm bells to the neuro when I finally see him again. Also worth noting, I feel significantly less anxiety after starting Keppra for whatever reason, so I really don’t think it’s due to anxiety anymore. Not to mention, I have basically completely eliminated stressors from my life until we figure out some way to get these things under control and I would still have them a few months ago.

Also wondering, I feel like the one episode a week normally comes after forgetting to take the second dose. And when I cut down to just one pill a day because of the extreme tiredness Keppra initially caused, I was having them like every day again. Is it possible these are related??

Thanks for reading anyways, I know this is kind of all over the place, but any insight or advice anyone might have is greatly appreciated. Hopefully I am close to an answer regardless.

Hi guys, for context I am 19F diagnosed with essential tremors for maybe 5 years now. Originally, they diagnosed me and put me on 10 mg of propranolol which then gradually moved to 20 mg that first year and has stayed the same since because it was helping me (not completely but I didn’t want to be a hassle). Lately for the past year, I’ve been having other health issues (possible focal seizures), so my tremors kind of got ignored by professionals, but they impact me every day of my life. It’s sometimes so bad now that I have to sit down in my hallway because I know if I continue walking I will fall, it requires a lot of energy to shower or brush my teeth or even sit on a slightly unstable surface. I used to believe that they worsened with anxiety, but I am very rarely anxious anymore for some reason after starting an anti seizure med, but feel like they still group me into the anxiety portion. It’s terrible, I feel it all over. My heart, my head, my arms, my hands, my fingers, my legs, my feet, and waiting 6 months for an appointment where I will try to stress to them how much it’s affecting me and they won’t actually grasp the extent of it is so discouraging. I am so young and genuinely don’t know how I could ever get a job with this when I can barely live. I don’t know what to do anymore. Especially since it feels like it’s progressively getting worse and internal, so how can I make them understand how bad it is when they aren’t living it?? Something needs to be done, I just don’t know how to bring it about.
