Nextlight Router Rental

Nextlight recommended I try their rental router to solve the issues I’ve been having. I was using Google Nest mesh devices before. They gave me one at no charge for 6 months. It seems to have fixed the issues, but I’m hesitant to pay $12/month for something I can buy online for about a year’s worth of rental payments.

Anyone have expertise with the rental router or with purchasing the same model themselves?

Edit: I guess I should’ve prefaced that the one Nextlight provides and has solved my problems is some weird commercial one that is have to buy on eBay. I’m worried if I get my own, Nextlight might not allow it to be used or it might not play nice with their network.

Brake Actuator Purchase Advice

My 2009 second gen with 162k miles has a brake actuator that’s on the fritz. I’m confident to replace it and do the Techstream bleed procedure myself. What I’m not confident in is finding a reliable part to purchase. Can’t really justify spending $1,300 on a new part and the $300 eBay parts just make me worried I’ll be doing this relatively big job again in the near future. Can y’all put my mind at ease about the eBay parts or give me a better idea? 🙏

Rattle/Clunk, Right Rear Wheel

2005 V8 2WD

I’ve had a rattle/metallic clunk coming from the right rear when going over bumps for a while now. Sorry for the wind noise. My video from inside the car didn’t do the noise justice. Also, don’t mind the exhaust leak tapping noise. 😅

I can’t seem to track it down. Rear struts and brakes are new. Nothing feels obviously loose including those new components, trailing arm, track bar, roll bar, drive shaft, and axle. The tail pipe and heat shield(s) don’t seem like a likely source either.

I thought it seemed to coincide with a time where I mistakenly drove about 4 blocks at 25 mph or less with the parking brake on. But I might just be paranoid. Parking brake looked fine when I replaced the rear disks and pads recently, and it also still works fine.
