Shout out to Amazon Glaze on Hover! 🍩

I love how much of a donut town Longmont is, with many awesome donut spots across all parts of our wonderful town.

Amazing Glaze is such a little hidden gem, if you’re up early I’d recommend checking them out. Great choices but they can run out quick due to popularity. Maple glaze or one of their crazier combos tend to do it for me.

Plus they’re near local parks so you can walk off the four donuts you did or did not just inhale.

What is going on with the sudden high employee turnover at Longspeak Pub?

We have been going there almost every week since they first opened. The food has always been good, sometime exceptional. But the main thing that has kept us coming back has been the employees and the incredibly friendly and energetic vibe they all created.

Unfortunately, covid caused many of the original crew to find different employment. But since then, they have added a bunch of new people and almost gotten back to the original, pre-covid vibe. That is until this year. The turnover since last fall up until this past week has been dizzying.

Can any employees or other people somehow in the know explain what is going on? Is there something bad going on with the parent company?

Library will be building a new train setup in the lobby.

Took my kids to see the train set today, and then I got to talk to the librarians about the plans and everything. It looks like they’re gonna be building a new Longmont centered train set in the lobby on the west side and it should be completed sometime near the end of the summer.

Honestly, this seems like a really cool “split the difference” solution.

Data Center issue in Longmont. Also in Denver. And in Weld. All over now.

It’s a regional issue. Power. Water. Noise. Costs. Rate increases.

What are the community benefits?

How do we protect our resources and residents???

Nextlight outage near skyline?

Anyone else having Nextlight issues near Skyline? My app says everything is fine, but none of our devices show our network as available. I have restarted all devices and the router multiple times.

Day trip ideas?

Hi friends and neighbors, we have some family visiting from out of town next weekend and would love some ideas for things to do/places to go.

Few notes:
-They are under 21 so anything drink related is out but they are grown so nothing too “kiddy”
-They have visited Colorado almost once a year for most of their lives so stuff like Casa Bonita, Estes Park or Boulder downtown are pretty common for them. Not taking the towns totally out, but just not main drag/shopping stuff. (They have been to Meowwolf last visit too)
-Because they are driving out here we want to keep car trips under 90 mins from Longmont but they LOVE to explore.
-Outdoorsy is fun but my partner and I are not in shape and can’t keep up quite otherwise the kids haha

Thank you everyone! :)

Do you have a vet or doggie day care that you love?

Hello! My husband and I are moving to Longmont this summer, and we are looking for a few recommendations for our dog, Frankie!

Frankie is a 2 year old 25 lb mix who LOVES other dogs, but has a tough time meeting people (unless there’s a dog with them!). He also can get overwhelmed at a traditional doggie day care where there a TON of dogs. Would love to know if you’ve personally sent your dog to an amazing doggie day care where they cap the amount of dogs allowed in the yard at maybe 5-10 at a time and/or organize play groups based on play style. Having a trainer or behaviorist on staff is also a bonus!

Do you have a great fear free vet or regular vet that you love? We are coming from having the most amazing vet and vet staff, but we are hopeful we can find something similar in Longmont or the Longmont area!

Lastly, any dog sitters/home dog daycare providers/dog parks/dog play groups you recommend?

Thanks in advance, looking forward to bringing our pup to Longmont!

Lowe’s/Home Depot/Floor & Decor Tile Installation

Hi everyone!

My husband and I are buying a house and looking to put in new bathroom tile. We’re considering doing it ourselves vs. paying for the labor. Has anyone used the tile installation service from Lowe’s, Home Depot, or Floor & Decor? How was your experience?

Thanks!
