Room/Home stays excessively hot no natter what I do

Im mostly typing out of sheer boredom and exhaustion. I live in south USA and this summer has been one of the hottest I can remember my entire life. For DAYS heat advisories from 11AM until 8PM for multiple days in a row and its ridiculous. I feel like im sweating to death in the "comfort" of my own home.

I mainly keep to one room which is a makeshift living/bedroom combo. I have a window AC unit and 3 fans just trying to keep my one room cool. And dont get me wrong in comparison to outside it is cool. But its still so hot that im sweating just while sitting down. Drinks instantly sweat when in the room. Any leather seat turns into a slipping slide. I cant enjoy anything. Shoe space by front door is zoned off by a bedsheets. And hallway to laundry bathroom and all that is sectioned off by a door. Unfortunately beyond that door theres no AC just fan circulation so using the bathroom and your guaranteed to sweat excessively.

Back to main room im out of ideas for ways to keep room cooler. Im used air dynamics. I keep filter on AC spotless, I cover soft surfaces with hard storage tub lids so that the couch doesnt absorb all the cold air. I sectioned off hotter rooms. I have thermal curtains in front of windows. Im out of ideas. Thankfully im moving in a few weeks but im so miserable. I cant enjoyed hobby because its to hot. I dont sleep with blankets. Shit my cat even avoid the window how hot it is.

Update: thank you for all the great advice and amazing suggestions I even got to learn some new things while i was at it.

For everything I plan to do.....

  1. I went and got some industrial tinfoil from Sam's club and plan to apply it within the next few days to the inside of my window. Unfortunately I cant reach the outside of my window with how high up it is so interior will have do. Good news im moving 2-3 weeks so hopefull no windows Crack and I can just pull the tinfoil down once im leaving.

  2. I plan to add some cardboard/keep the foam insulation panels but fit them in more snug after I apply the tinfoil.

  3. I plan to tack/nail the curtains above all that down to thicken then insulation layer/keep sunlight/thermal pockets of hot air from seeping in.

  4. I was originally going to put my AC on dehumidifier mode but my mother stepped in to help and we got small room size dehumidifiers. To put around house to help with moisture levels and I can take these with me when I move into new home.

  5. I will likely invest in mylar and blackout curtains for the new house if this remains an issue.

Ill put an update in a few days to say results. Thanks again everyone

I think im having throttle body issues

Hello!

I having the issue of my throttle not being responsive/heavily restricted (limp mode) this started after the car sat for a little while (needed new brake pads didnt want to kill the rotors) I would turn it on every week to ensure the battery didnt die and it would crank. Well one of these cranks I figured id cruise it up the gas station for a drink and found the throttle unresponsive 100% limp mode.

After this a bit of panic of course went inside to research came back cranked it again and it went perfectly fine. Figured ok it it fixed itself no more issue NICE! WRONG. another 2 weeks passed I did the same crank and let it drive uo and down the driveway so it doesnt die. And throttle again unresponsive 100%. After a recrank, some time letting it idle, some shifting of the vehicle, letting it naturally roll a few feet. I got it to be a slightly less restrictive limp mode. I could barely rev it but it wouldnt move honestly. After a bit I managed to get the code reader to find a P2103 - throttle actuator control motor circuit high

Vid for reference (plz dont judge my feet)

I figured a good starting ground would be checking the fuse/relay. And cleaning the throttle body. Any advice on how to do the cleaning would be appreciated also.

Reccomendations for Invoicing people

I just started my own computer diagnostic, repair, and maintenence business and currently i take cash, checks, or cashapp/venmo and dump it into my business checking account.

Ive known that cash is becoming extremely more rare everyday and I want my customers to have the modern option of paying online with their debit card as needed since not everyone has cashapp/venmo setup.

So I was wondering what the better options where and if needed ill design my own paper invoice and then just have payments be online.

Also since im still a small business im trying to keep to the free options where possible.

Fiance is trying to get a job, but it feels like another worldly force is trying to prevent it.

As title states fiance (22M) recent applied for a job and so far everything has been reasonable not the most smooth sailing but ultimately lead to him getting to go to training in the bug city (1hr away) for 2 days.

1st day, goes by smooth sailing tiring because it was a lot of info but otherwise good day

2nd day on the first week theres raging storms from tropical storm Arthur, our town flash flooded, there where tornadoes, waterspouts on the lake etc. (It was to a point people turned around on the interstate). Understandably his training day is shifted to accommodate the weather.

2nd day of the second week he leaves the hour and a few minutes early to get there on time. He ends up getting pushed out the direction he needs to go so he gets rerouted, which still has him getting there on time, thankfully. Takes the reroute to end up being stuck by a train for at least 45 min not including how long train was there prior, and how long its still sitting there for now.

He ends up being to late to attend training and so we are hoping he can reschedule just sucks. And this is one of the few ways I can vent my thoughts.

Hello drivers, I was wondering with it being spring and the rain is coming down a lot lately. What are s9ke good reccomendations for Rain Gear when delivering. Should I get Rain boots/shoes, umbrella, Rain coat, etc. Also are any of these tax deductible since im using them for the vehicle while delivering.
