Old man hands.

I'm having a real down-in-the-dumps day. Just not feeling it today, yknow? My 3.5 yr old went swimming in the backyard with MIL while I napped with the baby. When he came inside I went out to the back room to bring him a towel and get him dressed, and was greeted with a "My hands feel...different..." I asked "Why? What's wrong?" he showed me his pruney fingers and said "...they're like....old man hands...." Anyways, that was all I needed for my mood to change. Kids are so silly.

Missed dose, kinda worried.

My partner missed a single dose yesterday (today would be the second dose since they are supposed to take it in the AM) and last night was clearly manic, fell asleep, woke up at 3am and stayed up til 5am, and is now still sleeping at 2pm. Is this from missing (technically two) doses? They took so long to get our of the adjustment period and start to feel normal, will they have to start all over? Do I wake them? They are supposed to go get their script today. I am on a handful of other meds, I have no experience with bupropion.

I (29F) have watched my entire family die. I have two cousins (29F, 21M) left.

Everyone is dead. My uncle died in a work related accident when I was 7/8. Then everyone else started dying.
My great aunt overdosed, then my aunt overdosed.
Then my great grandmothers lungs gave out. Two days later, my grandfather hung himself.
My great grandfather died a few years later from old age.
My mom, my great aunt, and my grandmother all died this year from health complications. I am estranged from my father. I have two cousins left, they both have two siblings each, whom I am estranged from. Aside from them, I have my two children and my husband. I'm too young to have watch my entire family die. Being 2 months post partum, and having 3 very recent deaths, one being my mother... I feel like I am going crazy, recounting all of these deaths. Anyone else all alone now?
These are just my close family deaths (we were very tight knit-all grew up in great grandmas house together). I had a boyfriend hang himself when I was 18. I found him. A friend of mine shot himself when I was 16. My husbands father passed away a month before we got together (I had known him for a while before). My close friend died in a motorcycle accident in Nov. 2025.
Who else is fucking cursed?

My close friend, mother, aunt, and grandmother died while I was pregnant with my second child.

My close friend (mid 20s) was in a motorcycle accident a few days before Thanksgiving of 2025. She left behind 3 beautiful children I lost contact with due to being placed elsewhere.

My mother had health complications, but no implication of dying. January 6th 2026, I was texting her like normal and she had stopped responding. Her boyfriend called to tell me she was dead. She died due to those health complications. Her 51st birthday is this month.

My great aunt died shortly after, due to health complications/old age.

My grandmother died 12 hours before my scheduled c-section due to neglecting her health complications.

My second son is now a little over 2 months old. He was born with a freckle on his knee. I like to think that is where my mother kissed him before she sent him to me. My toddler talks to my mothers urn, kisses it, and tells her he loves her.

I don't think I will ever be okay again. But I have to be.

I guess I'm the bad guy now!

Ever since bringing home our second son (2 months) my husband and MIL have gotten soft with our 3.5 year old, and it seems I'm the only person to discipline him anymore. Everyone else just tries to distract him with the next thing and let him get away with bullshit. I get not wanting him to feel jealous of the new baby but now I've become to bad guy in his eyes because only mommy is stern with him, and his meltdowns have gotten even more extreme because only one adult in the house is actually sticking to disciplining him every time he needs it. Add on the fact I am constantly breastfeeding the baby, so I have to tell him "not right now" a lot more than before. He hates me now, huh?

Troy Account

I've known about Staph for years now, just started keeping up with this sub recently. With the new drop of "troys" handwriting, everyone keeps talking about all the unhinged comments from him. Can we get a thread of them? I haven't seen any of these comments before and I need to know the details lol

Husband in mental hospital UPDATE 3

Last post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Mommit/s/rT20HKDKRc

Been a few days. My phone broke. MIL showed up the day after my last post. My husband was released the day after that. He seemed even more down & distracted. I figured it was from adjusting to the new medications. He went to work the day after his release (so, yesterday), despite me telling him he should probably take at least a day off to recuperate. Last night, he was having really bad anxiety and began to have flashbacks of things he suppressed from his childhood. This morning, he woke up puking and sweating with anxiety. He emailed me from work today saying he feels like he is losing his mind and should have stayed in the hospital a few days longer, but he is afraid to lose his job and/or lose income from the days he will miss if he isn't fired. IDK what to do. Do i call on him and get him baker acted, and risk his job/income for however long? How do i help him, how do i navigate this with a toddler and newborn? I realize the meds havent taken full affect yet, but i fear they may be worsening his symptoms?

Husband in mental hospital UPDATE 2

last post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Mommit/s/zOXHtw4zX3

It's 10PM. My MIL hasn't arrived. Toddler flooded the bathroom by sticking a cup on the toilet and flushing it. The old stick and peel tiles started floating up. That's halfway dealt with. I have my 6 week postpartum appointment tomorrow, and it'd be nice to have MIL watch my toddler, or even be able to take a shower before then. Baby is sleeping, toddler has decided bedtime doesn't exist anymore. On a positive note, husband started medication and is looking positively towards his new journey after he's released. Goodnight, y'all. Gonna stress clean while my toddler stares at the wall until he passes out.

Husband in mental hospital. Alone with newborn and 3 year old.

My husband (28M) and I (29F) have been together 11 years. We have a 3.5 year old boy, and a 6 week old boy. My husband and I both suffer from mental health issues. Around Sep. Of 2024, we both started to spiral. My MIL took lead in taking care of our then almost 2 year old for a couple of months, I ended up taking a trip to the mental hospital, and my husband never got help. I got out of the hospital, medicated properly, and doing really well. He eventually came back around, was doing really well. Until, we brought home our new son. He slowly started to spiral like before. I am using the skills and resources given to me from my inpatient trip years ago. He finally woke up this morning and admitted he needs to seek help immediately and was having bad thoughts of harming himself. I am very supportive of this. But... I am worried about being alone with both children. How will I do it? My 3.5 year old is a handful, my 6 week old is EBF and always at the breast. I want to clean my house. I want my husband to be okay. My mother AND grandmother passed away during my second pregnancy. I have no one to lean on. Can I lean on y'all? I need supportive words, maybe advice on handling this alone for a few days. Thanks in advance. ETA: My MIL isnt very reliable, and I'm not sure my husband wants this information shared yet. Having her come help would almost be like having a third child around. Learned that the hard way when she stayed with us to watch out son last time.
