Stop victimizating yourself

Stop victimizating yourself

I think I’ve gotten too comfortable thinking about what happened to me instead of actually trying to get better.

Thinking about who hurt me, what went wrong, why things happened. At some point, it just becomes an excuse to stay stuck. Sympathy feels good, but constantly needing it isn’t healing.

What happened to you matters, but you still have to move forward.

And if I can’t be happy on my own, I can’t expect another person to fix that for me.

Maybe it’s time to stop looking for sympathy and start working on myself.

I didn’t realize the past stayed with me

I’ve realized how anxious I get around people.

I overthink everything , whether I’m bothering them, making them uncomfortable, or whether I should even ask to meet or talk. Sometimes I think about it so much that I just don’t do anything.

I don’t think I’m ready for close friendships or being with someone yet. Maybe I just need more time to feel comfortable around people again.

It’s weird how much your past can affect you without you even realizing it.

Is holding hands normal with someone you just met

Pata hai aaj kya hua.

I met a few people from Reddit recently, and honestly, I didn’t expect to feel this confused after just one hangout.

There was a girl in the group, and we ended up spending quite a lot of time together. We were just talking, joking around and having a good time. At one point, we were crossing a really crowded road and she held my hand. I thought it was just because of the crowd, so I didn’t think much of it. But she kept holding it for a while, and after I let go, she eventually held my hand again.

Nothing else really happened. She was completely normal afterward and even called me “bro” casually 😂.

I know this sounds stupid, but that small moment has been stuck in my head since then. Maybe it meant nothing and she was just comfortable with me. Maybe it meant something more.

TL;DR: Met a girl from Reddit, she held my hand twice while we were out, but also called me “bro.” Probably overthinking it.

Stop romanticising your pain

Pata nahi kyun log heartbreak ko itna romanticise karte hain. “Main hamesha usse love karunga.” “Chahe woh mujhe love na kare, I’ll still wait.” But why? Why love someone who simply doesn't love you back? Haan, hurt hota hai, time lagta hai move on karne mein. But constantly old chats padhna, unke baare mein sochna aur apni suffering ko “true love” bolna isn’t helping anyone. Let it go. Move on. There are so many people out there who will actually value you, choose you and love you back. Don’t manipulate yourself into believing that holding on is always love.
