Facial gone wrong?

Went to get my first ever facial. Hydration facial with certain facial masks. I told the worker my face feels itchy, I was told it’s normal I said ok. Bought products from them & put them on. My face was burning & itchy. I messaged them and again was told it’s normal keep doing it night and day. Anyways it’s been a week since the facial & my face is super dry, never been this dry in my life. And it’s beyond itchy. I have a whole dry patch on my face. I paid $500 so I’m annoyed. Idk what to do. I messaged them again & I’ll see what they’ll say. Also before anyone asks no refunds as per policy. Not the be dramatic but I want to cry. I have a trip coming up, I can’t put makeup on or anything. Also I used my creams ( the most hydrating one I have) still feel dry after 10 minutes. I’m drinking water everything. Idk what to do next.

Restarting

I was on Wegovy from July 2025 until March 2026. I ended up stopping after moving up to the 1 mg dose because I got really sick (possibly from the medication), but I had lost about 33 lbs by then.

After stopping, I kept going to the gym and stayed in a calorie deficit. I ended up losing another 12 lbs on my own and maintained around 220 lbs for months without noticing an increase in hunger. Recently though, I’ve started feeling hungrier, and my weight has just been bouncing between 220–222 lbs instead of continuing to drop.

My goal is around 180 lbs (although I’d honestly be happy at 200), so I’ve decided to start Ozempic (semaglutide) since Wegovy has become too expensive for me. My insurance only covers three pens, and I can’t justify paying around $500/month anymore.

I’m restarting at 0.25 mg tonight, and my plan is to stay on that dose as long as it’s working. The first time I was on 0.25 mg, I lost about 10 lbs in the first month, but my doctor increased my dose before I really had a chance to see how I’d do staying on it longer.

The first time around, I also noticed I felt my best when I focused on hitting my protein goal and eating mostly whole foods. Once I started eating more greasy and fast foods, the bloating got much worse, so this time I’m planning to be a lot more consistent with my nutrition. I’m not worried about the nausea, but I’m definitely not looking forward to the bloating and fatigue.

For those of you who have stayed on 0.25 mg long-term, how has your progress been? Did anyone continue losing weight without increasing the dose? Also, what habits or changes helped you keep losing weight while on semaglutide?

Anxiety Day 1, 40 min in😂

I’m beyond anxious, I’ve been vaping for 6 years, I’m disgusted and over it not worth the health problems. I’m on the 21mg patch & I’ve been procrastinating this for a week. I got the patches in the mail last Monday. I wanted to finish my last vape lol. So today I put it on, it’s very itchy at the site but it’s fine. I’m only 40 minutes in so obviously no update. But I’m scared. Just came off a night shift and I’m scared I’ll wake up with cravings. The smoke cessation program I’m doing said I can sleep with it on, it’s suppose to be on for 24h. I was told it causes vivid dreams and that’s fine as long as it’s not night mares. So I want to hear about everyone’s experiences. I tried quitting cold turkey 3x and I failed after a day or so. I hope the patches do wonders for me. I’m tired of vaping. I quit bc it’s embarrassing / a hypocrite telling my pt’s to “ stop smoking” or seeing them struggling to breathe etc and I’m out here hitting the vape in my car otw home.

Also, I have nic gum & lozenges & the little white puffer thing. My water bottle filled with ice cold water with the straw. My biggest problem will be the hand to mouth. What’s everyone doing for that part? My go to vape was juicy peach ice so I’m thinking about buying candy / gum in this flavour to help. I’m excited to do this, I’m motivated, but again scared that I might relapse. Bc I don’t want to start over, shit happens but I needa be strong.

Also hoping / can’t wait for my Brian fog to go away & my dopamine to regulates

Edit: also just realized I’ll be saving a lot of money. I use to spend $53 every 2 weeks for a vape 😂😂 FMLLLL.

Medsurg interviews

I have an interview and my friend that works on a medicine unit said they’d ask these questions. I’m new grad so idk how to answer this as I don’t have experience with this situation:

Tell us about an experience where you had to correct a mistake that a coworker has made

How did you resolve the issue by exhibiting accountability and teamwork?

Med error

Hi everyone, new grad of 10 months here looking for some perspective.

I administered a scheduled dose of subcutaneous heparin during my night shift. During report, the day nurse asked if I had given it, and when I said yes, she informed me that it should have been held due to low platelet levels. My stomach immediately dropped.

Looking back, I recognize that I should have checked the administration parameters before giving the medication. At my facility, anticoagulants are often discontinued or formally held by the provider when necessary, so I didn’t think to review the specific parameters on the MAR. That was my mistake, and I take responsibility for it.

What has been frustrating is that this information was not communicated during handoff. The nurse later told me she had forgotten to mention it and had left a sticky note. There had also been communication between pharmacy, the provider, and the nurse, but I was not included in those messages. I’m not trying to place blame on anyone, because ultimately I administered the medication and should have verified the parameters myself, but the lack of communication definitely contributed to the situation.

I immediately completed an incident report, and the oncoming nurse said she would notify the provider. Fortunately, there were no apparent adverse effects when I left, and the patient’s platelet count was unchanged from the previous day.

I’m feeling pretty anxious and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. Has anyone else made a medication error like this? How was it handled? Did it lead to disciplinary action, or was it treated as a learning opportunity?

I’m obviously concerned about the patient first and foremost, and I’m hoping everything continues to be okay. I can’t sleep, I’m not tryna be dramatic but I wanna book off work for a couple weeks. This anxiety is too much. The nurse texted me saying pt doesn’t have bleeds or anything and I shouldn’t worry. But idk man. My days off are ruined I’ll just be thinking about this.

Edit: thank you everyone for ur kind words, this is a learning lesson & I will never make the same mistake again.
