Why does Aphobia even exist?

Okay so I get (note that I do not agree with) the reasoning for LGBT hate, it's religious, god designed humans as perfect (debatable) and humans reproduce through having a man and woman

But like, asexuals, aromantics. Those are FREE monks! Can you imagine getting a shit ton of practitioners for your cult religion for FREE?!?! Heck I'm 70% sure a lot of religious monks were a-spec

This is why Buddhism is better I don't know anything about Buddhism but my step mom is a Buddhist and she's cool with LGBT

Side note: though it's worth noting that it would be way better to just not hate people that literally don't hurt others

Edit: for those wondering the armor is from the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Lille (France) it's at floor -1, also Buddhists can be homophobic which I didn't know since I only know one of them but yeah :(

Alexandra the White Wolf

The character I'm taking through the dlc (though the one I used for the pictures is another character because I messed up Sellen's quest and couldn't get the gauntlets)

Helm: raging wolf helm (if you missed it then no helm can work or maybe altered banished knight helm)

Torso: zamor armor

Gauntlets: azur's manchettes (if you missed it then battlemage manchettes work fine)

Greaves: scaled greaves (bloodhound knight Greaves if you missed it)

Weapons: Knight's Greatsword/Banished knight's greatsword and rift shield

I took pictures with knight's greatsword and banished knight's greatsword because I don't know which one I prefer (assuming I'm not just biased towards knight greatsword)

Jun Hiyama: The Walking Purification Ritual

Hiyama clan:

A clan who's true name was erased from history, named after a pyromaniac who would go around the country burning monuments, art and political points, due to this, they were widely hated. Their techniques mainly relied on heat or fire.

1549, Francis Xavier of the society of Jesus arrives in Kagoshima to begin the first missionary activities in Japan, seeing this as an opportunity most of the Hiyama clan turned to christianity hoping it would absolve them of the sins their ancestor committed

In 1587, an anti christian verdict was issued, reinforcing the hate that the government and civils had for the Hiyamas over time.

On the 17 of December 1637 was the Shimabara rebellion, a consequence of the daimyō Matsukura Katsuie's policies raising taxes and violently prohibiting christianity, though they were ordered to not participate, most of the Hiyama clan was present during the rebellion, which led to the entire clan's execution after the rebellion.

Jun Hiyama:

Jun uses the kanji for pure (at least according to the one source I could find for meaning of japanese names), by naming him this, his parents were hoping he would help absolve the clan's sins, ironically, Jun's technique and temperament were the most similar to the pyromaniac.

Jun was born on April 15th 1601, for most of his childhood he was refused combat due to his technique being far more useful outside of it.

His technique was named Purifying Fire, whatever he hits would set itself ablaze, entering a purification ritual, while during his childhood this was mostly used on weapons to make them stronger, it could be used on ennemies... To make them stronger. While it could also be used on allies, the fact that he is otherwise considered useless prevented him from ever being at the frontlines of battle.

But one day, Jun had a thought: "what if I was pure?" which is why one day he decided to immolate himself purifying his body, mind and eventually his soul.

Cursed Technique: Purifying Immolation

The technique would purify the user by setting them on fire, each body part takes an amount of time proportional to theor size to be purified however under normal circumstances, the entire body would purify at a rate where everything ends up pure at the same time, after being purified the flame will stop burning and the body will stay pure for 8 minutes, after that impurities will slowly come back, bringing the user back to his normal state, Jun can however boost the amount of time by artificially burning himself, this state will last for a maximum of two minutes as it damages the user but it essentially also boosts the amount of time for which Jun is purified

However with enough skill, Jun can target specific parts of his body to purifie, whose effects are as follow:

•sensory organs such as eyes, ears etc.: makes the sense in question more accute, in the case of eyes, could allow the user to see invisible opponents given their technique is inferior to his

•heart and lungs: increase stamina

•brain: enters a secondary state similar to after landing a black flash but without the recovery of output

•technique engraving in the brain: allows the user to create explosion from any part of his body, can be used to reposition or attack

•gut: increases output and efficiency

•limbs: increases speed and strength, can increase precision but only if the brain is also purified

•rest of the body: just more speed, durability and strength

With enough training, the user could purify their soul, allowing for it to defend itself like Nanami and hurt others' souls like Yuji, unfortunately Jun was never aware of souls

Something Jun does have however is training allowing his technique to differentiate between allies and ennemies, when burning an opponent with a hit as previously mentioned, it will not purify them but instead burn their cursed energy, decreasing output and reserves, so much so that it could kill some curses as their bodies are made of cursed energy

Cursed tool: Pyromaniac's Gourd

A gourd containing obscene amounts of alcohol, some people believe it is just infinite, it used to belong to the pyromaniac. Now Jun uses it to spread his fire, allowing for ranged attacks like a fire spitter or to set traps

Btw I used actual Japanese history for the lore so here are my sources:

Shimabara Rebellion

Christianity in Japan

Also I got the idea of the lore by watching Shogun, it's a great show, would recommend

The drawing in the first image is by me
